Grandmother Elvira

When each day passed, her words still echoed in my head.

"We are the key to the new world."

What on earth did she mean? What am I supposed to do with that useless piece of information?

It's really the only thing going on in my head lately, it's all I can think about. What could she possibly mean? I've been to the library about like 100 times a day trying to see if I could find anything. I've even looked in the restricted section! I've been insufferably paranoid trying to figure it out that i've barely spent any time with my friends. They're clearly getting worried because i'm keeping quiet, murmuring to myself and sticking my nose in a book everywhere I am. I haven't had a break! I need to figure it out!

I'm currently in a quiet corner in the library reading an old book from my family's history and multiple stacks of old Daily Prophet newspapers from when Grandmother Elvira tried to destroy the school.

I grab my grandmother's journal and start writing ideas, ripping pieces from the books and newspaper and sticking them to the journal. My hand was cramping from how much I was writing. The ink from my pens were leaking onto my hands but I couldn't care less.

I hear footsteps pass and I quickly shut Elvira's journal and shove it in my bag as I try and hide everything else. The footsteps come to a halt and I turn around to see Lorenzo, standing there with his usual gorgeous grin on his face. Once he sees me and the very well hid  books and crumpled paper around me he raises an eyebrow.

"What were you doing?" He asks with a small chuckle while walking to see what I was so eager to hide. My mind is blank and I can't think of any excuse.

"Brushing up on your family, I see." He says when he read the title of one of the books. He pulls out a chair and sits next to me. I still can't think of anything to say, and it's either because I can't think of an excuse or if it's him that's making my mind turn off.

"Yep." Was the only thing that came out of my mouth as I nodded slowly. What the fuck was I supposed to say? Hey Enzo! I'm just looking at what my fourth great grandmother meant by saying the most WEIRDEST AND CONFUSING SENTENCE IN THE WORLD! Oh, and I can't tell you anything about it because you'll question your entire existence and make you wonder why you ever bothered to be my friend in the first place. That's a totally normal thing to say!

Anyways, I was so wrapped up in that thought I didn't even realise that I was still nodding! He probably thinks i'm weird as fuck now, so that's great! So when I realised and I stopped, he just smiled and a little chuckle came out.

"C'mon, let's get back to the common room." He suggested as he stood up and grabbed my bag and carried it all the way to the common room. We were laughing about the day and just enjoying each other's company, really.

He opened the door for me, what a gentleman, and we made our way over to the sofas by the fireplace where our friends were.

"Hey lovebirds!" teased Pansy as we sat down. Lorenzo and I had different expressions. He was blushing pink all the way to his ears, and I was just glaring at Pansy like I was about to kill her, and I probably was if she wasn't going to stop!

The conversation shifted from Quidditch, to how the boys' admirers list increases every second, to amazing pranks and then to how Professor Snape purposely removes points from Gryffindoor.

Just then, all my worries have evaporated. Hanging out with these shitheads clear my mind entirely. We just have fun laughing at whatever. But that soon comes to an end when we start going to bed.

I'm twisting and turning in my sheets, my dream feeling so real;

"Y/n dear, you made it." said Elvira gratefully and spread out her arms wide.
