Jungkook had been enduring Taehyung's relentless torment for a week now. Every day seemed like a new challenge specifically designed to test his patience. Taehyung had made sure that Jungkook’s days were filled with meaningless tasks, pushing him to the edge.

One day, Jungkook found himself in the middle of yet another trivial errand. He had been sent to fetch coffee for Taehyung, only to be told that it wasn’t good enough and to go back and get another. The next day, Taehyung called him up to his luxurious, private office on the top floor just to hand him a file that was literally within arm’s reach of Taehyung. The constant running around and the sheer pointlessness of his tasks were wearing him down.

As the days passed, Jungkook’s frustration grew. He couldn't concentrate on anything, knowing that at any moment, Taehyung might summon him for some ridiculous errand. By the end of the week, Jungkook was exhausted, mentally and physically. He lay in bed one night, staring at the ceiling, his mind racing with thoughts. He knew he couldn’t keep this up any longer.

"This is insane," Jungkook muttered to himself. "I need this job, but I can’t keep doing this. It’s just not worth it."

The more he thought about it, the clearer it became that Taehyung had no intention of stopping. He had to face the reality that Taehyung was punishing him for what happened at the club. "He’s not going to let this go," Jungkook thought bitterly. "He’s going to keep pushing me until I break."

But Jungkook wasn't about to let that happen. He had already received his paycheck for the month, and with that, he could comfortably manage his expenses for a couple of months. In that time, he was confident he could find another job—one where he wouldn’t be tormented daily.

"Enough is enough," Jungkook decided. He reached for his laptop and started typing out his resignation letter. He wrote it carefully, pouring his frustrations into the words. It was a simple letter, straightforward, but it carried the weight of his decision.

Once he was done, he felt a strange sense of relief. "I’m finally doing it," he whispered to himself. "I’m getting out of this mess." The next morning, he dressed for work with a sense of finality, knowing it would be the last time he’d step into that building as an employee.

When Jungkook arrived at the office, he took a deep breath, clutching the resignation letter in his hand. He made his way up to Taehyung's private floor. The opulence of the space never failed to strike him, but today, he felt nothing but the determination to leave.

As he approached Taehyung’s office, he noticed Minho , who seemed surprised to see him. "Good morning, Mr. Jeon," Minho greeted him. "What brings you here?"

"I’d like to resign," Jungkook said, his voice steady but firm. He handed over the letter.

The secretary glanced at the letter, then at Jungkook. "I’m sorry, Mr. Jeon, but according to company policy, you need to give at least one month’s notice before resigning. I’m afraid we can’t accept this immediately."

Jungkook’s heart sank. The thought of enduring another month of Taehyung’s torment was unbearable. "But…" he began, only to be cut off by Taehyung’s voice from the office doorway.

"It’s fine," Taehyung said calmly, his gaze cool as it landed on Jungkook. "Accept his resignation."

Jungkook blinked in surprise. He hadn’t expected Taehyung to be so agreeable. "Oka--y " the secretary said, clearly taken aback.

"Yes," Taehyung replied smoothly. "We’ve received his resignation letter. He doesn’t need to come to work from tomorrow."

Jungkook was stunned. He had braced himself for a confrontation, for more hurdles, but Taehyung was letting him go so easily. "Thank you," Jungkook said, barely able to keep the disbelief out of his voice.
