Jungkook struggled as he carried the unconscious Taehyung into his apartment, the effort evident on his face. His breath came out in heavy puffs, and his back ached from the strain. He carefully laid Taehyung on his bed, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead. Straightening up, he let out a groan as he rubbed his sore lower back.
"Man, he looks so slim, but he’s really heavy," Jungkook muttered to himself, still feeling the strain in his muscles. He glanced down at the unconscious figure lying on his bed, a mix of frustration and confusion washing over him. 'What was he even doing with that guy? And why was that guy trying to force himself on him?'
The questions lingered in Jungkook’s mind, but he quickly pushed them aside. He had no intention of getting involved in someone else’s fate, especially not Kim Taehyung’s. He had already paid a heavy price for meddling in Taehyung’s life once before, and he wasn’t about to make that mistake again.
With a sigh, Jungkook sat down on the edge of the bed, watching Taehyung’s peaceful, yet vulnerable, face. "I just want him to wake up soon and leave," Jungkook said softly to himself. "I want this whole Kim Taehyung chapter of my life to be over."
He stood up, deciding to get a glass of water. As he walked out of the room, he cast one last glance at Taehyung, hoping that when he returned, the man would be awake and ready to leave. All Jungkook wanted was for things to return to normal, for this strange and unexpected situation to be nothing more than a quickly forgotten memory.
---
Two hours had passed, and Taehyung still hadn’t regained consciousness. Jungkook’s anxiety was growing with every passing minute. His heart raced as he paced around the small room, glancing nervously at the man lying on his bed. This wasn’t just any man—this was Taehyung, one of the top ten richest people in the world, a billionaire with influence and power beyond imagination. And here he was, unconscious in Jungkook’s modest apartment. The weight of the situation was suffocating.
"What the hell was I thinking?" Jungkook muttered to himself, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "Why did I bring him here? I could’ve just refused. The boss knows how important kim Taehyung is. But no, he dumped this responsibility on me just because Taehyung used to be my boss. What nonsense!"
Jungkook’s thoughts spiraled into worst-case scenarios. What if Taehyung woke up and accused him of kidnapping? What if he called the police? Jungkook could see his life unraveling before his eyes, all because he’d made the mistake of bringing Taehyung here.
"Damn it," Jungkook cursed under his breath, the panic clear in his voice. He couldn’t let this happen. He had to make sure Taehyung was okay. He quickly moved to the bed and gently shook Taehyung’s shoulder. "Hey, wake up," he said, his voice trembling slightly. But there was no response.
His worry deepened as he shook Taehyung a bit more forcefully. "Come on, wake up!" he said, his tone growing more desperate. But Taehyung remained still, his breathing steady but deep, showing no signs of waking up.
Panic now fully set in, Jungkook shook him aggressively, almost pleading. "Wake up, damn it! Please, just wake up!" His voice cracked with fear, but Taehyung remained unresponsive, his face serene and oblivious to the turmoil Jungkook was experiencing.
Exhausted and defeated, Jungkook let go of Taehyung and slumped down onto the tiny couch in the corner of the room. It was far too small for him, but he curled up as best as he could, pulling his knees to his chest. His mind raced with terrifying thoughts, but all he could do now was pray that everything would turn out okay. "Please," he whispered into the darkness, his eyes squeezed shut. "Please, just let everything be okay."
