The sky shimmered and shined, like a giant rainbow had blanketed the sky and stretched out over the land. It was early morning, but the night stars continued to shine. Despite the lightness of the dawning sky, the stars were so bright and clear like distant diamonds sparkling in the morning sky. While the faint outline of the moon was in a pale circle of silver, glowing faintly in the dawning sky. As the sun started to rise, it had caught the colors of a blazing, aflame ember as it rise in the east.
The branches rocked to the silent rhythm of the breeze and leaves were carried off by the wind, spinning and twirling like tiny dancers as they fell. In front of her was a grassy field and a small waterfall that was making a river. One could see a few woodland critters scampering through the clearing as they returned home. Some foxes went into a burrow. A couple of deer could be seen bounding away. Squirrels and chipmunks scattered about, grabbing their acorns to stash inside their tree-trunk homes and went into hiding. From above the birds started flying back to their nests. It was calm and peaceful around them in the gentle forest clearing.
Birds started singing their morning songs as the sun had started to rise to from the mountains and the faint silver of the moon could hardly be seen in the morning sky. As the sun had started to rise from the sky, the people of Jamanakai Village had started to awakening and getting ready to start their day. The adults had started heading towards nearby markets or started heading towards their work. The teenagers had started working their morning jobs or meeting up with each other in their favorite hangout spots. While the kids had started helping their parents, playing with their older siblings or playing with their pets.
But at the outskirts of the village was a single cottage. Inside of the cottage was a young man named Garmadon, who was pacing back and forth, striding with impatience as he waited outside of Misako's bedroom as she was giving birth to their first child. The sky rumbled with thunder, matching Garmadon's frustration on how long it was taking.
He heard a noise behind him and he spun around to see Wu standing behind him, standing next to the door. Wu's brown eyes shone with calm wisdom and gentle warmth. Garmadon rushed forward, having been expecting them for some time. Wu held out a hand in a gesture telling him to stop and to hold his patience. He froze, this time about two feet away from him, his face was drawn with worry and concern. Suddenly, the doors opened behind Garmadon, and out walked a nurse, summoning Garmadon to come in. His eyes quickly found the bed where his wife Misako, was sitting and rushed over. In her arms was a tiny bundle, one was in wrapped in a purple blanket. Misako was humming a Ninjago lullaby to their child.
"Oh, look at her. She looks just like her mother," The man spoke up happily as he leaned down and the baby was cooing.
The woman chuckled. "Yes, but she has a mix of your and her uncle's hair."
Garmadon gently pulled back the purple blanket to reveal a tiny baby girl with a patch of blonde hair on the top of her head and her skin was a rosy pink. When he reached to softly caress her face, her eyes opened, showing blue orbs that seemed to sparkle. When she saw Garmadon, her pink lips slowly curled up to reveal her first smile.
Garmadon felt his heart tightened with love for his daughter, and the drive to protect her against anything.
"You think she would become something great? Unlike me?" Garmadon asked his wife worriedly.
Misako sighed as she gazed at her husband. "Garmadon, you put too much blame on yourself." The baby cooed to her father, causing her two parents to smile softly. "You know that even if someday you... I will always love you, and I know our daughter will become a great woman someday."
Garmadon chuckled and kissed Misako's cheek. "Thank you my Misako, but have you chosen a name?"
"Yes, I've decided to call our little one, Diana Garmadon." The woman gave a warm, loving hug to the baby Diana.
Ten Years Later:
When night has fallen across the village, the moon was covered by dark clouds. A little cluster of rain clouds had passed through the evening, dampening the ground and filling the air with the scent of fresh rain.
Everyone in the village was safely asleep in their homes. The village became shrouded in stillness - the kind that only happens in the middle of the night. In the daytime, the village was filled with light and life. But now every corner was met with a soft, eerie glow from the moon. It raked in through the glass windows and gave the whole village an eerie feeling. Especially at the cottage that Garmadon, Wu, Misako, and the ten year old girl were in together.
Luckily for the cloaked man who crept through the corridor, it was easy to hide in the shadows. Any sudden noise could wake just one person and ruin his entire mission. The little girl looked like an especially light snoozer. The last thing he needed was some scaredy cat causing a stir and messing everything up. No — this was far too important a task to risk messing up.
It wasn't long before he found just the room he was looking for. The quarters of the little girl of the family. His promised revenge is coming in nearer than before. And he can't wait to teach those two brothers a lesson for the feat they have both pulled off together, which caused him to be discredited by his own village.
He pushed the heavy door, and it creaked open with little resistance. The room was illuminated by the moonlight, just like the rest of the cottage. He quickly took stock of the sleeping form of the newborn girl. It was no easy task to maintain her silence as she crept toward the wooden cradle.
The man narrowed his dark eyes as he approached the bed. He pulled back the blanket to reveal a little girl with light golden caramel hair on the top of her head and her skin was a rosy pink. When she opened her eyes, blue orbs were shining at him. But when she caught sight of him, she started screaming loudly.
At that, the man could be seen riding out of the village on a black Elemental Dragon. The alarm was going out. Arrows, both night and flame, soared up after it in a futile attempt to bring the man down. The man merely rode onwards and upwards, ignoring the impotent missiles disdainfully as it soared out over the forest and into the night.
Down in the village, he heard the call go up. "Send word across the land! Diana has been stolen!"
Wu sighed, his glistened with sadness while Garmadon was struggling to keep his anger at bay as he comforted his wife. Finding the young girl is not going to be an easy task. But it might be possible.
