Chapter 2

"Where have you been?" said by this suspicious man.

"Who are you and what are you talking about." I said with a mean look.

My mom always told me to stay away from strangers especially ones that say these kind of stuff. I am not going to get kidnapped today. So I did what any person would do. Run.

I ran as fast as I could, did not look where I was going and did not look back at all. Once I felt to tired to run, I stopped and looked around. I realized where I am right now. I was in front of a castle. I don't remember any kind of castle near my neighborhood. Just mini mansions. I took deep breath and just assumed this is all a dream.

So, I decided to wait until someone opens the gate. When the gate opens I will be able to swoop in and see the whole castle. My dream was to see such a beautiful castle. Right now my dream is "dreaming" the way I want. So why should I not enjoy.

I overheard people from inside the gate talking about a missing princess, they sound worried sick. Saying all kind of stuff such as if she were held hostage or worse tortured. Then suddenly I heard my name. "Why would Lotus disappear just like that, this is not like her."

I kept overhearing until someone open up the gate and I was ecstatic! I tried to go under the carriage so I won't be noticed by the people. Then once the carriage stopped I jumped on to the bush. I was able to peek through the bush to see the castle.

I was amazed by how huge the castle was, it felt so unreal. I couldn't keep my eyes of it, until I heard a familiar voice. I turned my head and I was shocked. It was the suspicious good looking guy coming out of the carriage. Instead of wearing a black cloak, he was wearing a suit like he was part of a royal family.

He was talking to the woman and the man who also looked like they were part of a royal family. I felt bad for them but it was all a dream so I didn't care as much. The man probably felt someone staring at him. Then he looked at my direction.

I was worried that I would've been caught. He started to come closer and closer. Tears coming out of my eyes. I put my hands on my face so he couldn't hear me. "If you are trying to hide you might as well run"- He said looking right at me.

I got up knowing that hiding in a bush was not as smart as I thought. While I was brushing off all the dirt off my dress
that I had no idea I was wearing. Why did I just realized I'm wearing a dress.

A woman came up to me and started hugging me, I played along and hugged her back. Thinking that she was a lonely woman just like me.

"Oh darling, where have you been for these past months, we've been worried sick."- said by the woman.

"I'm sorry, I think you've got the wrong person miss." I said with a confused face.

"Lotus my dear you must be tired we will get the maids to your room right away." I couldn't say a word I was dragged straight into the castle to a beautiful room. I almost cried because of how beautiful the room was. The maids took me to my bed and told me to rest.

The woman came right in once the maids left. She brought in a doctor to check if I was doing well. The doctor told us that I was dehydrated and malnourished. He gave me medicine and told the woman that I need to be given this twice a day. After a couple minutes the doctor was finish discussing and left.

"My beautiful darling, how could this have happened to you. Please get some rest sweetie you will be all better soon." - The woman said. She gave me a kiss on the forehead and left.

I'm completely confused on what is happening. I don't even know who this woman is. So, why would she act like she knows me. I was lost in thought until that good looking man came into my room.

I pretended to sleep hoping that he would leave. Instead he just stand there, I didn't know if he was looking at me or not. He then spoke.. "What happen to you" He said which sound like he was about to cry. He walked out and the door shut.

I had to run away but then a light bulb came into my head. The only way to get out of a dream is to sleep in a dream. Then I will wake up at home. I tried to fall asleep. Then soon after I slept, I woke up thinking I would be in my room. Instead I'm sitting on the luxurious bed in a huge room.

The maids came in and told me that the Queen Melinda Marqous and King Rowan Marqous request you for dinner. The maids gotten me ready for dinner. I wore a light pink dress with a big bow in the back. My hair was put up into a braided bun.

The most amazing part was the flowers that were on my hair, with a tiara. I felt like a princess, I giggled quietly. The butler showed me the room. Where my eyes met the good looking man. The woman and the man from earlier were also sitting there. There was also a girl and a boy sitting there. I was told to set next to him and Queen Melinda Marqous.

"Darling please eat as much as you want." - Said Queen Melinda

"My daughter if there is something that you don't like please tell me right away." - Said King Rowan

"Thank you"

I started to eat as soon as everyone else did. The food was out of the world. The girl who looked like my age stared at me with the meanest look. I didn't understand why she would stare at me like that. Did I got food on my face or something? Then the man sat next to me notice that I stopped eating. The girl spoke, "Is something wrong Lotus?"

"No, nothing is wrong."

"If the food is not to your liking we can arrange new dishes."-Said the guy next to me

"No no, the dish is splendid and everything is delicious"

The girl looked annoyed at me. I didn't understand why she would be annoyed but I ignored her.

"Prince Samier, I would like for you to attend the ball with princess Lotus." -King Rowan said

The girl then spoke, "Father, Lotus is to frail. I suggest that I should go instead" She started to blush while looking at Samier. "For the kigdom of course. I mean what would the people say bringing in my frail sister to a ball."

"The ball is in two weeks, i believe that Lotus will get better till then. I wouldn't want to go with my soon to be fiancée sister. Now what will the people say about that."

Wait wait wait wait hold up fiancé? I have a fiancé?

"Stop, we will discuss this after Lotus gets better." - Said Queen Melinda

"May I be excused mother."-I said

"Of course dear"

I walked out so confused and then the boy from earlier followed me out. "Lotus we've missed you" -The boy said Then he walked away, I didn't know how to reply because I don't know him.

I went back to room to rethink everything and finally decided to just go sleep. This time I will be back to the way everything was.

I fell in a deep sleep.

Will I wake up home or live as a princess?
