Monday, 6:15 PM - Earn's Photoshoot Location

Earn checked her watch, anxiety bubbling up inside her. "Just 45 minutes until 7 PM," she murmured, feeling her heart race-not from the photoshoot but from her upcoming meeting with Fahlada.

"Hey, P'Nook!" she called to her manager, who was deep in conversation with the production crew. "Any chance we're wrapping up soon? I have somewhere important to be."

Nook raised an eyebrow but nodded. "Let me see what I can do."

As she waited, Earn's fingers drummed nervously against her thighs. She slurped the last bit of her ChaTraMue milk green tea, shaking the cup like a desperate child. "Come on, just one more drop," she muttered, but the cup was empty.

Moments later, Nook returned, a hint of sympathy in her eyes. "They're trying, but you know how these shoots go."

"Ugh, I know." Earn forced a smile, taking a deep breath to calm her racing heart. Focus, Earn. You're a professional.

As soon as the last click of the camera echoed in the studio, she was halfway out the door. "Thanks, everyone!" she called, waving goodbye. Nook offered a ride, but Earn shook her head.

"I have an errand to run. Thanks, though!"

She pulled out her phone, glancing at directions to the Imperial Tower. Traffic is a nightmare, she thought, opting for the BTS. "Just five more minutes," she urged silently, stepping off at Krung Thon Buri station.

The tower loomed nearby, but as the seconds ticked away, she picked up speed, weaving through pedestrians. "Sorry! Late for an appointment!" she shouted, catching a few surprised smiles as she dashed by.

Finally, she reached the Imperial Tower, the lobby eerily quiet. Pulling out her phone, her hands trembled as she texted Fahlada.

Earn: Hi, Lada. I'm at the lobby.

Just as she began to worry about being too late, a polished woman approached her. "Excuse me, you must be Khun Earn?"

"Yes, that's me," Earn said, forcing a smile despite her racing heart.

"I'm Dao, Khun Fahlada's assistant. Please, follow me. She's waiting for you."

"Thanks!" Earn breathed, grateful for Dao's presence.

As they walked, Earn took in the grandeur of the building. The marble floors gleamed, reflecting gold accents everywhere. She spotted a massive white dragon sculpture, intricately carved and almost alive.

White Dragon sculpture

"Wow..." she whispered. "How much does that cost?"

Dao chuckled. "That's a symbol of the Worachai family. Only they know the secret of its price. It's been here since I started working for Khun Fahlada."
