A Clear Warning

It was a hot summer day when it happened. I had the girls in the workout room, rotating every hour to a different station.

"Come on ladies, the more sweat I smell, the more I want you to go take a shower!!!! So far, I smell nothing!!!!" I yelled, some girls picked up their speed, some stayed at their constant speed.

"Alpha Kathrine, please, I can't breath! I need at least a five minutes break!" Amber, a girl who was very slim asked. Sh'e been running on the treadmill for about 50 minutes straight.

"Well, ok-" I stopped my sentence when the smell of blood came to my nose. Knowing no one else smelled this, I blew my whistle. Everyone stop on instant.

"Follow me, I smell blood and I don't want to leave anyone alone" I said, they all nodded, thankful for  the some what break, but also worried. I walked outside and every thing looked the same. I walked over to Tristan and his group. Everyone stopped and turned towards me. Since they were in their wolf forms, they just bowed there heads. Tristan's wolf walked forward.

"Tristan, did any one get hurt a few minutes ago?" I asked.

"No, not that I no of, no ones in the infirmary, why?"

"I smell blood" as soon as I said that a lifeless body flew into our campus. It was my father. A arrow was in his chest with a paper attached to the end.

"Oh god" I mumbled as I pulled the paper off, tears in my eyes.

"Heads up Alpha" the note read.

"EVERYBODY TAKE COVER!!!!" I screamed, the male wolves switched back and grabs the women, some women grabbed the children as the ran away. I was running when the first bomb hit. My body was blown in the air, but of course I landed safely in a tree. I stayed up there until the the bombing was done.

About four houses were bombed and ten people were injured. I jumped down the tree and went to go help put people in the infirmary. We weren't severely injured but some did have broken bones. After we put some people in wheel chairs I walked outside, people were looking for each other, making sure they were fine.

"Do you see what is ahead for us now?!" I yelled, everyone got quite and turned towards me. "We do not train you days and night for no reason! This was a clear warning, this is what we have in stored for our future. This war will be brutal to every single person, every single wolf, every single healer, every single being that is participating. This war, is one I want to see the end of, this war is one I want to walk away a free wolf, not an enslaved one. This is a war I want to go into, having a chance of winning. I need you as much as you need me, I train as hard as you do, no matter what your training in. We are all equal in the effort we put in, remember that." I said.

"Kate, what do you want me to do about-" Tristan asked, cutting himself off to look at my dad's body.

"We're having a proper funeral" I said, he nodded and told some other wolves to help him carry my dad. I started to walk away when I felt Fiona put a hand on my shoulder.

"Alpha, shall I dismiss everyone?"

"No, have everyone help with repairs of the village, I'll be down to help in a few hours" I said and walked off.

"Kate!" Noah yelled,

"Just leave me alone right now." i growled

"But wait-" I turned into my wolf and ran off towards my house, not wanting anyone to see me cry. Even though he wasn't the best father, I only had one, and now he's gone. The worse thing about this is that since I'm alpha, I have to preform the ritual for his death. I have to draw a circle with six triangles, big enough for his body to fit in the middle. Once I say a few words and recite a few poems, I say the spell that releases his soul from within his body. One his body is without a soul, we howl into the night, letting him know our sorrow. Once the howling is done, his soul will burst into small rain droplets over his body/ That is letting us know that he heard our prayers and he's taking his body with him so he can have a human form. The only one who have a choice in taking a human form or not are Great Alpha's.

I crashed into the house in the middle of me turning back human. I saw red as I started to punch the walls and throw vase's across the room.

"Kate!" I heard Tristan shout as he ran in the house. I growled at him and he flinched but kept coming towards me. I punch the wall leaving a huge whole three times bigger than my fist.

"Leave me alone!" I growled as he pulled me away from the wall. I struggled for about two hours before I actually broke down in tears, crying on his chest.

"Shh, it'll be okay" he tried to sooth me, but I just cried harder.

"It hurts so much" I sobbed. I kept sobbing blubbering words while he said calming loving things to me while coming his fingers threw my hair. We sat there for hours until I finally calmed down enough to get in the shower. I sat in the tub as the water fell on my head, calming me down. This is more than a battle now, this is war. Everything has changed, I need more allies, more friends, more back up. Without more help, we'll surly die.

There was a knock on he door when I saw Tristan come in with a towel and a change of clothes. I turned off the shower and grabbed the towel, drying myself off. I put of the clothes and looked in the mirror. I've went from an outcast to Great alpha in three months. My life has changed so much and I have to start taking charge. I have to take control. I looked at Tristan threw the mirror, and he started back.

"We have guest in the living room" he said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I raised and eyebrow as he grabbed my hand and walked me to the living room. When we turned the corner, the first person I noticed was Vicky, next were about thirty different men. Vicky ran up to me and pulled me into a big hug.

"I heard what happened" she whispered as he pulled away "We all did" she said waving towards all the other men.

"And who are they?" I asked as one on the men stepped forward.

"We are alphas Ma'am, we're here to help you win this war. My men have penetrated to are of the Ghost pack, they have a great number of fighters. Not enough for only your pack to fend off."

"I know this" I said "Everyone in this room is an alpha?"

"Yes, alpha's that are willing to help you, and there are many more on the way" he said

"Your name?"

"David ma'am" he said.

"Thank you all, but I can't except your help with you all knowing that you many not make it back alive of unharmed." I said, a young alpha stepped up, he looks about 22 years old.

"We are aware that some will fall, this only drives us to fight for our freedom" he got down on one knee, as did everyone else in the room, besides Tristan. "Great Alpha Kathrine, Alpha Tristan, we would be honored if you let us fight with you. If we don't stop the Ghost pack from taking over now, then they will rule the world." I looked towards Tristan and he nodded.

"I, Great Alpha Kate, accept help from any pack that is willing to risk there lives for this war."

"I, alpha Tristan, also accept your help. If any betray us, you shall die" he said, I agree with him 100%, this war is too serious for traders,

"We also want to come to the ritual" Vicky said when she stood up. I nodded.

"I'll get some of our men to help you set up camp on our territory. After the ritual, I want you to be here as soon as possible, I don't want any to get harmed on the way here. Be sharp encase of a ambush."  they nodded, I turned my attention to the young alpha "What is your name?"

"Um, sorry, I'm Kevin Alpha of the snow pack"

"I've heard great things of the white wolf pack, don't disappoint" I say, he nods, trying to hide a smile, they all walked out of our recked house and down towards the town.

"I'll be waiting in the town on the stage okay" Tristan said and pecked my lips, I nodded and went into my room.

Guess its now or never.
