I had a morning meeting with the clients so I head over to the office early. I was surprised to find Khushi already in the office at 8am, talking to the canteen lady.

I overhear Khushi telling her that she needs to go early today that's why she is in early. Hmmm, thanks for the tip Miss Gupta. So, you want to rush home early. We'll just see about that. I control the mean laughter that threatened to burst inside of me from my plan. It was simple: find ways to keep her in the office. Forever.

After my conference, I call her to in my cabin. I ask, "What's my name?" (Did I just want to hear her pronounce it again).

"Kyu.. bhool gye kya?[Why..did you forget it?]" was her response and it left me dumbfounded and fuming. Her insolence has surely reached new heights!

I thrust a piece of paper at her where my name was misspelled. "There is a typo in my name. If you know English then go and correct it".

She gets excited and does a little skip, "That's it? I'll just do it right now".

I smirk at her innocence after she gave me the paper back. Then I put 2 large stack of papers in front of her and ask her to do the same in all. Her eyes widen and her mouth rounds in 'O'. Then I watch her pick up the stacks as she shimmy-shimmied her lips a little and go with a stomp. I bellow at her, "I saw that". She gave me an I-don't-care look and went on.

At around 3pm she comes to my office with the papers. I ignore her and went downstairs to attend Lisa, my model for this issue of AR calendar which was to release in 2 days. She was a good aquaintance. I welcome her and ask her if she needs anything to be comfortable.

She asked me for a favor to take care of recently purchased fur-coat. And I knew just the person who would take care of it with her life. I called up Khushi and warned her to keep it safe. I told her to just stand at a corner with it like a statue..and insisted that she better not be moving, talking even blinking..well I just added that for an extra flare. This task couldn't have come at a better opportunity. The shoot would last till 8pm and I can just keep her here. Yup!

I can see her across from my office yawning, getting bored at this mundane task, one eye on the clock waiting to get to the end of this torture. My eyes are just glittering at the perfect plan and the perfect execution.

Suddenly I hear a commotion outside, I flew down the stairs. There was a juice stain on the fur coat that Khushi was supposed to keep safe! I burn in anger to ever trust her to even do this one simple task. Lisa makes a scene and refused to complete the shoot. I'll deal with her later for the unprofessionalism. But right now I have bigger fish to fry.

KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA.. I grit my teeth as her name bubbles up in my throat.

I can't deal with another loss in my business due to this low-class-incompetent-pretentious-chit-of-a-girl.

She will have to pay for it. "Agar contract nhi hota na to kabka tumhe bahar fenk deta.  [If it wasn't for the contract, you would've been thrown out of this company already].

Since because of you the shoot had stopped, you will now complete it." I threw the skimpy little blue dress at her to change into which is to be be used in the photoshoot.

She is back to defying me by refusing to change into them, quoting her middle class values and bullshit. I warn her to either finish the shoot or resign right at that moment. I leave her to decide.

I come back downstairs to check on the progress after a while, and my body jerked to a standstill.. Enchanted.
