gendo got wind of the incoming crippled EVA unit-01, from his many evangelions and ordered one of his airships to intercept and capture the unit, he was surprised that shinji managed to not only escape but retake unit-01 in the process, what he didn't know was that the incoming unit was not his evangelion
and he'd learn this the hard way, with the complete take over of the NHG: erlösung, and the take over of his opfer evangelion, the Mk.10, when the ship arrived he watched as an entry plug was ejected from unit-13 and a new one was pushed into it, he was more surprised when the EVA immediately became active and began to move towards the erlösung
it didn't take gendo long to realize he made a mistake and lost two of his biggest pieces as a result the Mk.10 and more importantly, unit-13
WILLE would soon learn of this as well, though many questioned who would be capable of stealing unit-13, that question began to fly out the window once they learned of the erlösung's course
"plot our course for tokyo-three best speed" misato ordered
they arrived too late as they saw the Mk.6 being transported aboard the erlösung, what shocked them was that nothing was happening from the body of lilith after it's separation, this left akagi stumped
"if i'd known we could extract the Mk.6 i would have requested us to do so, for an extra unit in our arsenal" ritsuko said
"ma'am the erlosung is on the move" midori said
"where is it going" misato asked
"down, into the LCL fluid" midori said, misato's eyes widened mere moments later a new more horrifying report came in
"NHG: erlösung target lost" midori reported
"what the hell just happened
"unit-13, the Mk.6, and the Mk.10, are gone" ritsuko said, this was when maya ibuki ran onto the bridge
"mari took unit-08" she said breathlessly
"WHAT" both misato and ritsuko shouted, so maya told them that mari had used her authorization codes to launch unit-08
"she's likely to aboard the erlösung, so we have lost her too, great" misato said
meanwhile shinji was on the erlösung's bridge, coordinating with the Mk.10 that he took over to control the ship back to his native dimension, he'd need time to put the Mk.6 back into working order, and he'd need a situation update, before his next sortie in unit-13, he also need to find a way to get unit-01 repaired as well, so much he needed to do with no time whatsoever
"hello" a voice cheerfully said, he turned
"who are you" i asked
"mari 'illustrious' makinami, and you are shinji ikari, but you aren't our shinji, our shinji would never do what you have done" she said
"yes, i've been told i'm more proactive then your shinji" i said
"oh, is that how you knew about all this, you must have stumbled upon village three, only your two friends would have helped you" she said, i said nothing
"oh don't worry, i'm here to help" she said
"i'm going to be fighting angels" i said
"ooh, that sounds fun" she said, i shook my head
"you are a strange girl" i said
"so i've been told" she said as she hugged me from behind, something i was used to misato doing by this point so it didn't both me.............. much, i still had a bit of a blush
"would you get off me please" i asked
"hmmm, no" she said, i sighed
returning to my world i had learned that, the thirteenth angel: bardiel had been defeated, they were currently attempting to fight zeruel, this actually got a serious expression on mari makinami's face
"that is the angel that helped cause near third impact" she said
"between your unit-08, the unit-13, the EVAs NERV has we can defeat it" i said confidently, we were throwing four evangelions at the monster, FOUR, if we lost with those odds then winning was an impossibility
mari nodded heading towards her EVA as i headed towards mine, giving a look towards the crippled unit-01, before i boarded the sleeker unit-13
we arrived on the island before the angel as it was advancing towards the city proper both of us had spears in hand, i had the spear of cassius, mari had the spear of longinus, i got the spears when i was stealing unit-13, i nodded to mari who charged at the angel, i moved to support her
of course NERV made several attempts to contact us, i ignored them for one reason seeing what my father's counterpart had done, i did not want to know what this man's plan would be for instrumentality
the following angels were rather easy to face, for unit-13 exactly being what it was it shrugged off most everything thrown at it by arael and armisael, killing the latter in less then two minutes, tabris was however interesting
"i can feel father off of this unit, more then any other you have created" tabris said, after finding his way aboard the erlösung
"it isn't yours" i said, he nodded
"no, it is not at that, still, it is fascinating, my siblings know that while we could meet our counterparts, we never should it would mean disaster for you and for us" he said
"what do you want" i asked
"this unit has given me all i needed, goodbye, shinji ikari" he said, as he made his move so too did EVA unit-01, he smiled as the evangelion crushed him, my eyes widened in shock and confusion, he made unit-01 kill him, why, shinji shook his head, he needed to be sure that, that was the last angel
he was assured the moment NERV was attacked, by evangelions, of course the units 08 and 13 moved to aid EVA units 00 and 02, making the odds roughly two to one
but unit-00 and unit-02 were defensive against their allied EVA's, this was until shinji sent a transmission to the other evangelions
"so now you decide your good enough to talk to us huh" asuka said, her familiar arrogance, brought a small smile to his face
"it's good to here you asuka" i said
"s-shinji your alive" she said
"unit-01 was crippled from the explosion of those bombs, not destroyed, i would however be dead had the EVA not continued to function though i don't know how it stayed active passed the five minute mark, i will say it got me access to new units, this unit-13, and that is my new teammate and her unit-08" she said
"hello princess" mari said jovially
"who are you calling a princess" asuka said insulted
"pilots, we have nine enemy units, we must concentrate" rei said, it was in that moment the Mk.10 made it's appearance which was surprising to shinji as he didn't send any orders to the opfer EVA, it took one look at unit-00 and nodded to which unit-00 returned immediately to the Mk.10, the five EVAs got into combat stances as they waited for the attack from the oncoming enemy evangelions
"the result fight went from two to one, to three to one, as both of NERV's units fell victim to the time limit problem, leaving the unit-08, unit-13, and Mk.10 to fight off all nine, a fight that lasted over an hour before the nine evangelions just outright stopped moving, frozen for a solid minute before spreading their wings and heading in the direction of the erlösung, unit-13 look towards the Mk.10 which nodded and he gave a sigh of relief, before turning on his heal and making his way towards the erlösung himself, mari in tow
"where are you going idiot" asuka asked
"i can't give my father unit-13, it would end in catastrophe for all involved, i need to hide it, and the other units i control" i said, gesturing to the unit-08 and Mk.10
"i'll be back soon, returning unit-01" i said, as i left, i would later reveal the erlösung to NERV and the world at large dumping the crippled EVA unit-01 before the ship forced it's way into terminal dogma and disembarking this dimension the way it did from it's native universe
