(pictured is Paris)

I didn’t waste a minute going to pick up Kelsey. I was worried about her. She never got sad or wanted to go home. She spent a year in America and seemed perfectly fine! Well, I guess she has her reasons for being sad at this moment. She has a lot on her mind and I wanted to show her I’d be there for her. When I pulled up next to the bus I got out of the car and boarded it. “Kelsey? You got your things?” I asked.

She looked up and smiled to me. It looked like she had been crying. “Yeah.” she whispered.

“Leave your brother a note so he doesn’t worry.” I said softly and walked over to her bag.

She nodded but didn’t move. I looked at her in a way that said the note wouldn’t write itself, but then I noticed a sheet of paper on the pillow of the bed next to me. “Already did?”

She nodded again. She probably didn’t trust her voice. I sighed and pulled her up by the hand, leading her down the steps as I carried her bag. “Jump in passenger if you want.” I told her.

“Can I just lay in the backseat?” she asked quietly.

I looked at her as if to say no, but decided better of it and nodded. She opened the door and got in the car quietly. I put her suitcase in the trunk just as the rest of security came out. “Paris? What are you doing here?” Westley, my partner asked.

“I’ll let you figure it out.” I said quietly, figuring Kelsey wanted out of here before they found out.

I didn’t give him a chance to get Timmy, the head of security before I got in the car and drove to the airport. “Thank you…” Kelsey said quietly from the backseat.

I glanced in the rearview mirror and found her laying down. “It’s not a problem.” I promised.

“I meant because of having to leave… I know you would have stayed longer with Westley if it weren’t for me.” she said quietly.

“If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t even be here, remember? Besides, he’ll end up calling me later.” I shrugged slightly and smiled to her. “It’s nothing to worry about.”

                “Right…” she said softly.

“So what’s bugging you, kiddo?” I asked.

I figured I had waited long enough, but I wasn’t expecting her to give in so easily. She explained to me what had been going on and by the time we got to the airport she was in tears again. I got out and got her bag before helping her out and wrapping my arm around her as we went in. Little did she know I was flying back to London with her. What good is security if they aren’t with you the whole time, right? No one but Westley would miss me, but he’d be too busy with handling the boys to have time to fret over it.

I dropped her bag off and we boarded the jet. “Just us two.” I told the attendant, who nodded and boarded behind us.

Kelsey buckled in but asked no questions when I sat next to her. She closed her eyes, making it look like she was asleep even though I knew she wasn’t. That was when my phone buzzed. I slipped it out quietly and answered it. “Hello?” I said quietly.

“Please tell me Kelsey isn’t seriously leaving!” it was Harry from the tone of his voice.

“I can’t tell you that. The plane is getting ready to take off now. I have to go. I’ll let you know when we land.” I promised.
