(pictured to the side is Kelsey)
“We all know she’s acting like she doesn’t want to be in there, right?” I asked, sitting down across from Niall.
“Of course. She doesn’t want him thinking she’s a crazy fan girl… even if she is.” Ed laughed.
I smiled and nodded slightly. There was a knock on the door and Ed got up to open it. Niall and I shared a whispered conversation as the other three boys came in. “So, I ran into this kid who said his name was Jackson. He was walking down the street with a map-quest, suitcase and a book bag.” he told me.
“Oh… Well… he accused me and Kath of being the ones who… you know, done my brother’s girlfriend in…” I sighed quietly and shook my head. “We didn’t! You believe me, right, Niall?”
He nodded and smiled, touching my hand gently. “One hundred percent, Kelsey. I know you wouldn’t do that to your brother.”
I smiled to him. “Thanks. I better get back to work on the pizzas. You lot look a little hungry.” I laughed and stood slowly, pulling my hand back from his.
I turned back to the pizza dough on the counter and greased the first pan before covering my hands in flower. I put the first dough in the pan and started spreading it. A few minutes later and I had all the dough spread into their pans and was pouring sauce onto them when Kathleen and Harry came back from the bathroom. They both looked like nothing had happened but I knew my brother better than that.
Harry sat down and started talking to Liam and Niall while Ed was talking to Louis and Zayn. Kathleen walked over to me and helped me to put cheese onto the pizzas. “So…. what went down in there?” I asked quietly.
“What do you mean?” she asked, looking at my curiously.
“He didn’t make a move?” I asked.
“No… It surprised me too.” she admitted.
“Maybe he’s just… grieving?”
“Maybe…”
We finished putting the cheese and pepperoni on the pizzas before I put them in the oven. Luckily it was one of those ovens where you could get three pans on the top shelf instead of just one. I set the timer for eighteen minutes and decided to check them to make sure they weren’t burning. It was one of the tricks I had learned from my host mother when I was in the states.
I sat down next to Niall and we engulfed in another conversation that now included Kat and Harry. “Snape was not a bad guy!” Niall and I argued with Harry.
“Yes he was! He was on Voldemort’s side!” he replied crossly.
“Harry, my dear boy, he was a spy for Dumbledore.” I replied calmly.
“So he killed him!?” Harry asked, raising an eyebrow assuming he got us there.
“They planned it!” Niall told him.
“Now you’re just making things up!”
I leaned back in my seat and shook my head at my brother. Kathleen was already shaking her head and laughing quietly. “Why would I make things up, Harreh!? If you read the books you would know! Stop watching the movies and curl up with a book once in a while!” Niall said.
