It had been three years since Rin Nanase joined the Yubiwa organization under the mentorship of Arban.
In that time, Rin had mastered countless techniques—learning to fight, defend, and survive with efficiency and precision. He had quickly risen through the ranks, earning the reputation of being one of Yubiwa’s most capable and adaptive operatives.

“You’ve been training for three years,” Arban said, his tone calm but firm. “I truly believe you are ready to take vengeance upon your brother—the man who betrayed us all.”

Rin stood before him, wearing the sleek black uniform of the Yubiwa.

“I’ve taught you everything,” Arban continued. “From mastering combat to conquering your fears. Everything I know has been passed down to you.”

Rin nodded, his expression stoic. “It’s been an honor to serve under you, Arban.”

Arban gave a faint smile and motioned for him to follow. “Come. I have something to show you.”

Rin followed as Arban pushed open a set of tall iron doors, revealing a large operations room. The enormous display at the front projected a view of Toronto at night—the skyline illuminated, with the Nanase Tower gleaming prominently at its center.

“Yubiwa will change the world,” Arban said, his voice echoing through the chamber. “And it begins with Toronto. With you—using your skills and the weapons from Nanase Corporation that we have acquired here.”

Rin froze, his eyes widening. The revelation hit him like a punch to the chest. Yubiwa had somehow obtained weapons from his family’s company—tools designed not for defense, but for destruction.

“Once you kill Yusuke,” Arban went on, “you will lead a team to tear Toronto apart from within. That is where your mission begins.”

Rin slowly shook his head, disbelief turning to anger. “No… that wasn’t our deal. You promised you would train me to avenge my brother—not turn me into a weapon for chaos. I thought we were destroying corruption, not creating it.”

“Chaos is necessary,” Arban replied coldly. “Through destruction, we cleanse the world. Only when everything burns can we rebuild it—pure and untainted.”

Rin’s eyes narrowed, his voice steady but burning with conviction. “No. That’s not salvation—that’s madness. I won’t be part of this.”

Arban sighed, his expression darkening. “Then you leave me no choice. If you refuse to walk with us… you will die here.”

Rin said nothing—but in a split second, he drew his sword from the sheath on his back, slashing at his mentor. Arban blocked effortlessly with the twin forearm blades attached to his arms, locking Rin’s blade between them.

Rin twisted his wrist, kicked Arban backward, and leapt away. Alarms blared. Soldiers rushed into the room. Rin reached into his pouch and hurled a small round device to the floor—
A burst of smoke exploded, engulfing the room in thick gray fog.

Shurikens flew through the haze, striking several soldiers before they could react. Hidden behind his mask, Rin sprinted through the smoke and disappeared down the corridors.

“Find him!” Arban shouted, his voice echoing through the chaos.

Rin navigated through the dimly lit halls, his mind racing. He knew where he needed to go—the weapons vault. He found the reinforced doors, slipped inside, and locked them behind him.

Inside, racks of weaponry lined the walls. Crates marked YUBIWA ARMORY and NANASE CORPORATION filled the room. Rin froze when he saw the latter.

He ripped away a brown sheet covering one stack of crates, revealing the familiar corporate insignia of his family’s company.
