Hunting down Yuusuke

In the night of Toronto, a man wearing a black toque, a grey sweater, and black pants was roaming around in the empty streets. He walked into an alleyway and continued walking, only to hear some footsteps behind him. He turned around, unable to see much due to the lack of light surrounding the area. The only thing he could see is a black silhouette, resembling that of a person.

"Who's there?!"

He pulled out a gun from his pocket so he could aim at the person following him, but immediately, a blast of white energy was shot at the firearm, disarming him as the man stepped back. Another white beam of energy would be shot at the man's chest, throwing him far back with a yell. The man landed on the ground, panting heavily as he looked up, only to see the Dark Knight approaching him.

"What the hell are you..?!"

The man asked.

"Where's Yuusuke Nanase?"

Dark Knight asked.

"How do you know about him?"

The man grunted as he struggled to sit up from the single impact he received on his chest.

"Everything," Dark Knight responded. "I'm asking you again and this will be your final. Where is Yuusuke?"

"I wouldn't know... he talks to a lot of people at night across Toronto. As far as I know, he could be in Mississauga. Now, who are you?"

The Dark Knight stepped a bit closer towards the injured man before speaking again.

"I am Dark Knight."

The Dark Knight would spend his night searching for Yuusuke. He managed to force the man information about the possible whereabouts of Yuusuke and the people he would be interacting with. With the help of Retro hacking into the street cameras to locate Yuusuke and see who his connections are, he ended up finding the people that Yuusuke would have been talking to. However, each of them would physically retaliate against the Dark Knight, only to be beaten down by him. In the early morning before sunset, Rin would be sitting in the basement, having a hologram of the city of Toronto displayed to them.

"It appears that finding Yuusuke may be a difficult task as by the time we get there, he's no longer there," Retro stated.

"Then I guess we need to try harder. We'll locate his connections first," Rin said.

Each night, Rin would spend his nights as the Dark Knight, hunting down Yuusuke's connections. He would have traveled to multiple districts of Toronto city, ending up in violent fights with multiple people who are fighting back against Dark Knight. However, each of them were no match for him. At least one person from each group of people he took down would reveal where Yuusuke is possibly at and the people he associates himself with. However, by the time he gets to Yuusuke's location, he was no longer there except some of the people he recently interacted with. Each early morning, Rin would be doing research on the people he had took down. Considering that Retro had scanned their faces through the Dark Knight's mask, he was able to reverse search them through the online network and identify them, including finding the people they are associated with.

The Dark Knight had visited multiple different districts of Toronto every night, battling against those who are protecting Yuusuke. However, this caught the public's attention as there have been witnesses or bystanders who have seen the Dark Knight. Some people were also victims of the crime that some people on the streets made, those who may not be associated with Yuusuke, from car theft to items being stolen by them aggressively until the Dark Knight appeared to prevent that and protect each victim from them.

The media started to spread about a masked vigilante named Dark Knight roaming around the city at night. Police have arrested multiple suspects that the Dark Knight took down. Some would say he's a hero, some would say he isn't as he is operating outside of the law. Rin Nanase in the morning would be watching the news in the basement while having some cereals as his breakfast.

"Quite the fame you've gathered, Master Nanase," Sebatian said as he approached Rin.

"Yeah, I didn't think I'd be saving people now by regular thugs while hunting down Yuusuke," Rin said, taking another bite of his cereal bowl.

"I suspect that the people Yuusuke is associating himself with were formerly working for the Yubiwa," Rin said. "There's just no way these people are that good in combat and trying to protect him."

"Well, in the end, you've destroyed Yubiwa's headquarters. Yuusuke is probably leading his own people in the shadows."

"I wonder... I'm going to figure it out," Rin said.

"You have visitors coming tonight. Kevin and Chizuru would like to see you here," Sebatian informed Rin.

Later in the evening, Kevin and Chizuru would be sitting in the large living room with Rin, each eating a light meal consisting of sandwiches and a glass of red wine made by Sebastian as they discuss about Nanase Corporations.

"So, the board of directors are having a say that they don't like where your new direction is going," Kevin said, drinking a glass of red wine.

"They don't like that I'm taking responsibility?" Rin asked, taking a bite of his meal.

"It's a financial loss for the company. If we don't supply weapons, then our profit margin would significantly be reduced. The weapons district makes huge profits on behalf of the company," Kevin said.

"Alright, and I've stated what I have discovered during the conference meeting. There will not be any weapons being manufactured," Rin responded back.

"Rin, you can't be this naive. How else can the company thrive?"

"There's always other ways, but weapons isn't one of them. I cannot put innocent lives at risk," Rin said.

"People are always dying everyday," Kevin said. Chizuru chose to remain silent, casually taking a sip of red wine.

"And I choose to reduce the amount of deaths around the world. The company's goal is to ensure everyone lives a better life, not the opposite," Rin said, looking at Sebastian with a stern expression on his face.

Kevin signed, shaking his head. "Well, anyways. What are you up to? You don't go out often during the day like you used to."

"Too busy trying to reform the company into something better," he would stand up, taking a last drink from the glass of red wine. "I'm busy so if there's nothing else on the table, I need some time alone."

"This early?" Kevin asked as Rin began to make his way towards the basement. "Rin, where are you going?!"

"Got some work to do," Rin said as he walked down the stairs.

Kevin looked at Chizuru in disbelief. "Can you believe this guy?"

"Well, he's been pretty busy quite a lot lately. Just let him do what he needs to do," Chizuru suggested.
