Secret Objective

"This isn't what it looks like,"

Rin said as if he was trying to convince her. Chizuru still remained silent, speechless to the whole scene in front of her.

"I can explain," Rin added.

Shortly, both would be at the dining table, eating seasoned scrambled eggs and bread with a mug of coffee on the table. Rin was wearing a black lomg-sleeved shirt and black pants.

"So... you're the Dark Knight who's been going out every night and beating up people on the streets?"

Chizuru asked.

"I had an objective. My objective was to find Yuusuke and avenge my family and then recently I found out that a dangerous organization that I thought I've defeated is still out there, lurking in the shadows."

"What organization?"

She asked.

"It's a complicated story. Long story short, I was trained under the Yubiwa for three years— an organization that was based in Mongolia. I joined so I can gain the skills and knowledge to get my revenge against Yuusuke since he was formerly part of it but then the moment I found out that they had my weapons from my company to use it for malicious intent, I blew everything up over there."

"And that's why you shut down the weapons division?"

"Yeah," Rin answered. "But there's some lurking in my company."

"What?" Chizuru asked.

"I don't know who else, so keep it between us. I suspect that Kevin and the others are part of it."

"How could you be so sure?"

"I don't, but I need you to hack into his computer for me and download all the files and then send it to me."

"I-I can't." Chizuru stood up, seemingly in distress. "You're gonna get yourself killed this time and I just—"

"Chizuru!" Rin stood up as well, walking his way towards her. "I need to prevent them from enacting whatever plan they have."

"Rin, I thought I lost you. Now, all of a sudden, you're going out there every night and putting your life at risk. I cannot take part of this."

Rin would release a sigh past his lips, standing close in front of her. "You stood by my side all these years and now, you'll just walk away when I have the chance to redeem myself. I'm taking responsibility under my own hands. I'm trying to do something right, not just for the company, but to everyone else that Yubiwa is trying to wipe out."

Chizuru's eyes became teary, growing emotional from the thought of losing him. "Do they know who you are behind the mask?"

"No," Rin would gently hold her hands, caressing his thumbs over her skin. "I doubt it. I suspect the Yubiwa has sub groups, like the ones in Toronto working for them. They would've targeted me already here if they knew who I am."

"Okay..." she whispered, nodding ever so slightly. "What do you want me to do?"

"Where's Kevin?" Rin asked.

"He went on an international trip a few days ago. I don't know where."

"When is he coming back?"

She shook her head.

"I don't know."

"Alright, well here," Rin pulled out a small black small USB Type-C drive from his pocket, placing it in her palm. "This will bypass his login credentials. Just plug it into his computer, download all the data, and send it back to me as soon as possible."
