(The story starts with Gotham City under attack by a group of terrorists, who are taking several hostages in a bank. The security guard is about to shoot, but one of the terrorists shoots him down while the other shoots a bank worker who was about to press the alarm button. Suddenly someone comes in. It's a white suited individual with a sword.)

(The terrorists get angry as they aim their weapons at him.)
Terrorist 1: OPEN FIRE!
(They start shooting, but the individual isn't fazed.)
Terrorist 2: What are we gonna do? It's not working.
Terrorist 3: He... he... he must be wearing a bulletproof suit.
Terrorist 4: Then let's go rough!
(They throw some grenades at the individual as he walks towards them. As the grenade explode, the terrorists smirk, thinking they took care of him, but then he walks out of the smoke, completely unscratched.)
Terrorist 5: How did he...
Terrorist 6: (scared) Who is he? WHAT is he?
????: I am the White Void Assassin! Hakumen!
(Then Hakumen keeps gazing at the terrorists, who try to move, but somehow can't.)
Terrorist 1: What's this? What can't I move?
Terrorist 2: I am unable to move too.
(Hakumen then draws his sword, and gazes at the hostages.)
Hakumen: Go!
(The citizens slowly leave the bank since the terrorists are unable to move. The terrorists glare at him.)
Terrorist 1: Hakumen, right? Mark our words. Our boss will come for your head. He will!
Hakumen: (glares) I'm counting on this!
(Hakumen then slashes each of the terrorists until none of them is left alive.)
Hakumen: And... I'm done here.
(Hakumen then leaves, and moments later, the police comes in as the officers get terrified by seeing several dead bodies chopped into pieces.)
(Meanwhile at "The Demon's Head", the stronghold of the Society of Shadows, a woman is seen patiently waiting for someone as Hakumen comes in.)

Talia: How was your job?
Hakumen: I took care of a group of terrorists in that city.
Talia: And you did it before the Caped Crusader could get to you? (smiles) My father taught you well, dear Xander.
(Hakumen then removes his helmet, revealing his face. His real name is Alexander "Xander" Kane. He was born into a family of wealthy industrialists in Gotham City. He also had an intellect unlike any other, excelling both academics and martial disciplines. He started rejecting his family's legacy once he found out that they were involved in Gotham's Criminal Underworld, which led to their deaths when he was a teenager. He embarked in a journey of self-discovery, eventually becoming the man he is today.)

Talia: And he chose well. He believes you can finish what he couldn't.
Xander: Rid Gotham City from all corruption.
Talia: Exactly.
(They approach each other, and then they share a passionate kiss as the screen fades out.)
