Thanks to the colonization efforts of humanity there are many systems in the galaxy that have become habited by lifeforms. Nearly all of them do not know where their origins are. One such system is the Algol star system. The life forms there include humans and androids. There also exist Numan which are beings created by gene manipulation in laboratories, mostly they have a human appearance except they also have cat like ears. Furthermore there are other humanoid aliens, the Dezolians and the Motavians. The Dezolians come from a snow covered planet, they are green skinned, bipedal lizard looking people, but instead of scales they have smoother skin and no sharp teeth. The Motavians come from a desert world, and they are dwarfish creatures, fur covered, red eyes, almost resembling a large caterpiller face, but having arms and legs.
Our main adventurers are led by a female swordswoman. She has long brown hair, soft features, and works as an agent for the local government. Though realizing her government is involved in a conspiracy she turns her back on them and becomes a key figure for the rising resistance movement. Joining her is a space pirate, tall and bulky, but muscular and fit, wears heavy duty armor, a human tank. He wields a huge gun that is essentially a cannon. There are all manner of firearms that he can obtain and some fire spreadshots, others laser blasts, or pulse wave emitters. Their other human companion is a female with long sky blue hair, wearing flowing robes and mantles, armed with a cane or rod for battle. She is the reincarnation of a long line of warriors, who are born every thousand years, when a dark force returns periodically to the planetary system. Trained as an esper, who are very skilled at using techs, which are special skills developed by the population, that can create combustion, heal injuries, or even control gravity.
Two androids join them on their quest. First is a female android, she looks almost entirely human, save for an antenna here and there on her head. Her small demure frame belies her very sturdy metallic frame, so though she looks delicate she can take heavy damage and keep on fighting. Two pistols in each of her hands are her weapons of choice, and some of her shots carry corrosive acids, poisonous toxins, or paralyzing chemicals. The other android would not be mistaken for human, he looks blocky and is immense, almost like a gundam or transformer. This mech favors close hand to hand combat over firearms. He will wield two handed weapons, like large swords and axes, in each arm with ease. It should be noted that while very powerful, no android is able to use techs.
From the Motavians there is a warrior hunter that has blue fur that is so grown it almost resembles a lions mane. He fights using large axes to fight, and while very powerful and durable in combat, his tech prowess is limited. But he is a fierce and famed warrior that prefers solitude, but when he is aided by the party, he is moved to use his fighting skills for their cause. A female Motavian also accompanies the party, she is an engineer and wields a crossbow, which can fire a variety of arrowtypes. She also has a small drone that flies beside her, she can feed it so it absorbs items, and the drone can also soak up damage for her. Depending on what you feed it or how much damage it soaks up, it can then unleash devastating attacks, from a singular laser beam to a barrage of comet strikes.
From the Dezolians one female warrior, spartan in nature, and a bodyguard of royalty. She lives for combat, using her spear with such dexterity that she can strike dozens of hits in a single second, by spinning it or piercing with her weapon. Her commander in chief orders her to lend her expertise to the party when it becomes apparent that the entire system is in peril. As a bodyguard she can soak up damage for the party members and use devastating counter attacks. Then there is the plump Dezolian that is a master forger of weapons. He can combine weapons that the party has obtained and use them to create new more powerful weapons. His weapon of choice is a blacksmiths giant iron hammer.
The Numan bring a female catgirl, she prefers to fight with razor sharp metallic claws she wears. Her cat like nature makes her fast and agile but she doesn't favor heavy armor. She knows most healing techs and even learns some combat techs too. She resembles an ancient prototype Numan from millenia ago with her long purple hair, pale white skin, and dark crimson whiteless eyes. Then there is a Numan, hiding his ears under a baggy hat, he specializes as a thief. Like the sterotypical cat burglar, he will fight with a dagger and is able to steal items from enemies or disarm them with his swift precise pickpocketing skills. When the party emerges from stores or houses other buildings, sometimes they will find he has gone, but is waiting outside the village they are at with some freshly stolen goods.
Two latecomers to the party are one reformed biomonster. These are genetically created monstrosities that the party routinely has to battle. But this one almost passes for human, and has the ability to copy the abilities of other biomonsters in battle. He mostly looks like a lion but walks upright, except during battle when he wields large tusks on his fangs, and can absorb health points from enemies during an attack. After being an enemy of the party he comes to a mutually beneficial arrangement and teams up with them. Then there is the human vessel for the dark force that is invading the Algol star system. He starts out as their antagonist, but after battling the party, he decides to forgo his dark purpose and uses his ablities instead to fight against the real source of the crisis on Algol.
