Ranvijay swiftly yet slowly laid Maanvika down on bed,his body postion in half hovering his head resting on his arm as he gaze at her and suddenly Maanvika turn to him facing him in same posture, her voice trailed off"I think..I should.." , her skepticism palpable, but Ranvijay's gentle fingers on her lips silenced her. "There has never been a woman on this bed, till now," he whispered, his eyes burning with intensity.

Maanvika's gaze lingered on Ranvijay, his eyes on her chest, her grip on the sheer scraf (dupatta)tightening, as she wrestled with the weight of his words. What he imply In the opulent palace, a centuries-old tradition held its protocols. When the King or princes desired a courtesan's company for the night, the woman would arrive under the cover of darkness, her presence a fleeting whisper in the corridors of power. With the first light of dawn, she would vanish, leaving behind no trace of her existence.

This practice extended to the wives as well. Neither the Queen, the main wife, nor the other wives would ever spend the night in their husband's chamber. Instead, the husbands would visit their wives's chambers, a gesture of power and control. This tradition ensured that no single wife could claim complete ownership or rights over their husband, especially in a household with multiple wives.

This delicate balance of power and pleasure had been the norm for generations, a testament to the palace's intricate social hierarchy. The courtesans came and went, their faces forgotten, their names unspoken. The wives, too, knew their place, their nights spent in solitary splendor, awaiting the occasional visit from their husband.

In this world of carefully crafted traditions, Ranvijay's words to Maanvika were a whispered revolution, to breach protocols to upend the status quo and claim her as his own.

Ranvijay's whisper seemed to shatter those conventions, his words dripping with reassurance. "What do you imply?" Maanvika asked, her voice barely audible, her heart torn between caution and curiosity.

Ranvijay's fingers remained on her lips, his touch sending shivers her. "I imply that I want to break free from those practices, those rules," he whispered, his voice husky with emotion. "I want to be with you, don't think anything, just sleep here today."

Maanvika thought uproar"thats it, he will not leave me now, his intentions are clear,Maanvika why have you come here yourself on your own feet,now..what now give him insight  to let found a escape...that's it"She gaze at him "My king, let me narrate you a story,a story my mother used to narrate me,she was a good storyteller or made by circumstances.Since my father were mostly busy with others she was with me,i don't know why she used to narrate that story to me,but it has a lesson in it,she used to told me i might understand it once i became queen."

Ranvijay nodded with smile concentrated on her words ,Maanvika continued "Once Chandra, the Moon God, was married to all 27 daughters of Daksh, a powerful deity. However, Chandra's heart belonged only to Rohini, his favorite wife. He neglected the others, spending all his time with Rohini and showering her with love and attention."

Ranvijay's eyes locked on her, as she rose her eyebrow,And she continued "26 wives, feeling ignored and unloved, complained to their father, Daksh. They told him of Chandra's favoritism and how it made them feel unwanted and unappreciated."

"Daksh, angry at Chandra's behavior, cursed him 'You shall fade in shine, just as you have faded in your love for my daughters. Your light shall wane, and you shall lose your radiance.'

"And so, Chandra's shine began to fade. His full moon glory slowly diminished, and he became a mere sliver of his former self. Rohini, desperate to save her beloved husband, begged Daksh to lift the curse."
