Gu Sheng Nan woke up feeling refreshed and decided to go for a jog. As she ran, she came across a cute little puppy with a fractured leg. She helped the puppy and was contemplating taking it to the hospital when she bumped into a handsome man.
"Sorry," she stammered, feeling a bit creepy about the man's intense gaze.
"I'm Ming Yue," he said with a smile. "What's your name?"
"Gu... Sheng Nan," she replied, hesitant to reveal her family name.
Ming Yue's eyes sparkled. "You're beautiful."
Sheng Nan felt awkward. "Thanks, but I'm married."
Ming Yue chuckled. "I don't mind."
Sheng Nan was taken aback by his response. Just as she was about to blast him, he took the puppy from her and thanked her for taking care of it. With that, he left, leaving Sheng Nan feeling uneasy.
Meanwhile, at the Gu mansion, Gu Xiao was furious about Sheng Nan's departure in the luxurious car. She demanded her father let her marry Zhang Li, but Sir Gu had had enough of her tantrums. In a fit of anger, he slapped her and stormed out.
Gu Xiao vowed to reclaim what she believed was hers, tears streaming down her face. "Sheng Nan, I'll make sure to take back what's mine, and you'll regret ever crossing me!"
