Chapter 39: Battles in the Sky

Third Person's POV

With Ash and Eli's goal of entering the Kalos League driving them off our heroes are headed to Shalour City, site of Ash and Eli's third Kalos Gym Battle

Our heroes look at the scenery in awe "This is the Famous Kalos Canyon" Serena points out.

"Wow, what a sight!" Gary stated with amazement.

"Yeah" Eli smiles looking at the Canyon.

"What do you think, Dedenne?" Bonnie asks the Antenna Pokémon.

"Denene!" Dedenne wiggles its tiny arms happily

"It's magnificent to look at" Maddie comments as she feels the wind flowing through her making her hair flow with the wind.

"It took Nature tens of thousands of years to create this masterpiece" Whitley then said.

"Why don't we take a break here?" Ash suggests.

"Great idea" Eli agrees and so did the others.

"Everybody come on out!" Ash calls out his Pokémon who appears as Fletchling seems startled a bit when it sees Hawlucha "Oh you haven't Hawlucha yet, have you, Fletchling?" Ash questions.

"That's right, My Pokémon need to meet it, too" Clemont said before pulling out his Poké Balls.

Serena pulls out Fennekin's Poké Ball "Yeah, Mine too!" she agrees.

Maddie and Whitley shrugs "look like we're all doing this, huh?" she asks Pulling out her Poké balls.

Whitley nods "It sure does" he agrees while pulling his.

"Sounds good, to me, don't you think Eli?" Gary questions pulling out two Poké balls.

Eli shrug "the more the merrier, I guess" he responds before throwing six Poké balls in the air revealing the following Pokémon, Espurr, Dragonair, Absol, Gardevoir, and Braixen since he left the other Pokémon with Professor Sycamore's care.

"Syl!" Sylveon stands next to Absol.

"This is our new friend; meet Hawlucha! Let's make it feel like home" Ash tells the Pokémon.

"Lucha!" Hawlucha flaps its arms.

The Pokémon cry in cheer with exceptions of few Pokémon who nod in approval to the Wrestling Pokémon

Then suddenly a big Shadow flew pass over them making everyone look up as they see a silhouette of a person in a gliding suit gliding around above our heroes. Our heroes then returned their Pokémon back to their Pokéballs.

"What's that?" Ash questions.

Serena pulls out her guide "here's what it says, "Kalos Canyon is famous for it's sky trainers" maybe that's who they are" Serena explains.

"Wow Sky trainers" Ash says looking up at the Sky trainers gliding around the skies.

"Pika! Pika!" Pikachu looks as awed as its trainer.

"Talonflame, use Steel Wing!" A Sky Trainer yells as a big red bird like Pokémon flies down with its wings glowing in white light hitting a Skarmory "Use Fire Blast!" she yells again.

Her Pokémon then releases a powerful stream of red-yellow fire from its mouth at the opponent. As the flame travels at the opponent, the front of the flame forms into a 大-shaped blast.

Our heroes were amazed at the scene before them.

"They're having a Pokémon battle in midair" Ash states.

Bonnie giggles "that looks like fun!" Bonnie states.

"Skarmory use Fury Attack!" Skarmory's trainer yells.
