It was barely one o'clock when the people started arriving. Namjoon was the first one, obviously, and he surprisingly didn't bring any of his friends with him, claiming they would arrive later. Hoseok was the second one to arrive, I instantly got him up to speed about the whole Yoongi ordeal to which his response was to wait and see. And so, as I waited and kept looking at the door as I felt myself growing more and more desperate.

The next time my mom went to greet the new guests at the door, I recognized Mingyu from the day I had gone to the campus alone, as well as Seungcheol, Vernon and another boy I hadn't met yet. Knowing two of them had seen me kiss Yoongi, I wondered if they were up to date, but it wasn't as if I could ask them. Still, I left my friends and went to say hi.

"Oh look, guys. It's our Jiminie!" Seungcheol brought me in a side hug, keeping me locked in. "How's it been going?"

"Good" I managed to croak out.

"Cheol, you're choking him"

I felt Vernon grab onto my shirt, yanking me away from the grey-haired boy's embrace.

"And who's this?" I ask pointing at the brunette boy I didn't know. Vernon was the one to introduce him.

"This is Seungkwan-"

"His boo~" Mingyu cooed.

"Boo?" I repeat, cringing at the word. "I mean-"

"It's because his last name is Boo. I don't call him that" Vernon assured me with a smile. I tried to smile back but group interactions still weren't my thing so instead I pointed to the living room where Namjoon was waiting and closed the door.

When I got back to my friends, all of them asked me about the four boys. I quickly explained everything, leaving out the two witness to my first kiss with Yoongi. If they were already here, how come Yoongi wasn't?

Not too long after a few cousins, aunts and uncles arrived, bringing with them shameful memories and delicious food that I was in charge of stacking in the fridge on top of everything my mom had ordered or made during the day. I looked at the clock in the kitchen and saw it was already two pm, why wasn't Yoongi here?

"Dude!" A whispered scream right behind my ear made me jump and turn around.

"Jungkook, you almost gave me a heart attack!! Why are you whispering behind my back like that???" I whisper yell in turn.

"Yoongi's here!"

I instantly felt my heart drop and my blood freeze. Why was I so nervous? This was my house, my brother's birthday and I knew how Yoongi felt about me. There was no reason to be so nervous.

"He just walked in with a pretty ravenette"

"Must be Jin"

"Jin?"

I looked at my friend and nodded my head. "My brother's boyfriend. Come on, let's go" As we approached the space between the kitchen, entrance door and living room, I could already here my mother gushing over how handsome Seokjin looked. Jungkook and I peaked from behind the arc wall until my eyes landed on him. He wore part of his hair in a loose ponytail that looked incredible on him and had swapped his all black outfit for a beige suit, white shirt and matching white converse. He looked out of this world beautiful.

"Yoongi dear, look at you! Such a handsome man as well"

"Think your mother's going to steal your man"

I nudged Jungkook without ever looking away from the elder. I watched as they all moved over to the living room where all the guests were. Namjoon greeted Yoongi with a big smile and a hug, Seokjin with a kiss, keeping him close after.

"Come on, we can't stay here for the entire birthday party" but as I felt Jungkook's hand on my arm, I realized my feet refused to move. I was stuck. How could I go in there and have to pretend as though nothing was going on between me and Yoongi when all I wanted to do was go stand next to him and hold his hand in mine.

"Jimin?"

"I can't move"

"I know you're nervous, but we have to get out there some time"

"I know. I know, but I don't think I can do it"

"We'll be right there with you, Chim. Come on, you love celebrating your brother's birthday. This is his day, remember?" I watched Jungkook fill up two glasses with juice, handing me one. "It's always less awkward when you have a drink in your hands. Now, come on"

I nodded my head and followed the ravenette out of the room. As we entered the living room, it felt as if everyone's gaze was on me, which I knew was just me being paranoid until my eyes landed on Yoongi. I expected a smile or a wave when our eyes met but instead, he looked away, already engaged in a conversation with Mingyu and Vernon.

"He looked away" I whispered to Jungkook.

"Just don't think about it too much"

We finally rejoined Taehyung and Hoseok right as my dad entered the room holding this huge birthday cake. Everyone started singing happy birthday to Namjoon in a surprisingly harmonic way. I knew today was about Namjoon and especially this moment, but my eyes were glued on Yoongi.

"I don't get it, all I can think about is him but he hasn't looked at me once??? Isn't he supposed to want to see me or talk to me?" I whisper to my friends.

"Jimin, shush, we're wishing your brother a happy birthday"

I rolled my eyes at Taehyung's answer but resumed singing him happy birthday. Once the candles were blown, mom and Jin helped my brother cut the cake and hand out pieces to everyone. I made my way over to where Yoongi was but he looked my way before I could reach him and walked away. I stopped dead in my track and went back to my friends.

All throughout the rest of the afternoon, I stayed away, talking with only my friends, my eyes never letting Yoongi out of my sight. We had already made eye contact a bunch of times but he never came to see me or even smiled back. It was as if we were strangers. I couldn't help but think did Namjoon get to him? Convince him not to talk to me?

After some time I went to the kitchen to be alone but was surprised to find my big brother resting against the countertop.

"Hey, Chim. What a great party, huh? Mom really outdid herself with this one"

I thought I was okay and could do the whole small chat with him but as soon as I opened my mouth to answer, all my anger and frustration came out instead.

"Did you tell Yoongi to ignore me?" I ended up asking.

"No. I don't talk to him about you"

Until now his attitude hadn't changed but mine was definitely getting out of hand.

"I don't believe you" I barked. "He hasn't come to talk to me once all afternoon. Why would he behave like that if not because of you"

"I don't know and I don't care" he scoffed and got up, looking at me one last time before walking away.

I exhaled sharply, I couldn't stand it anymore. I threw away my plastic cup and ran straight up the stairs and into my bedroom, making sure not to slam my door, I didn't want to cause a scene. I walked back and forth around my room trying to calm down. When it didn't work, I sat down and went on my phone and without realizing it, I had finally stopped thinking about Yoongi or Namjoon.

I heard a knock on my door and went to answer.

"Jimin?"

One look at his cat eyes and all my anger came back.

"You can't be serious" I scoffed, giving him the deadliest look I could muster.

"Jimin-"

"No" I said, and this time I slammed the door in Yoongi's face.
