Four days since I had last seen Yoongi, and only one day without talking. Monday morning Yoongi had asked if everything was alright and if we could meet, but with classes and the wild weekend I had spent, my parents didn't allow me to invite anyone over just yet. By Tuesday morning, Yoongi had gone back to his old ways of answering once every four hours and me, I was still overthinking his behavior.
Everything had been going great between us until Namjoon's birthday party where Yoongi ignored me the entire time, that had been the stressor for me, the reason I have been pulling away. I thought to myself, I want to talk to him about it but it has to be in person, which was hard lately. But what if I don't get to see him soon? I shouldn't let things get too bad, not if all that's needed is communication? So then, should I talk about it by text? But it's easy to misinterpret a text message.
I sighed, this entire thing was giving me a headache, why was it so hard? Why couldn't there be a clear answer?
Looking through the window on my left, I see a ravenette passing by. His head is bopping to some music, his hands are playing the drums on his thighs and he doesn't seem to have a care in the world.
"Freaking Jungkook" I chuckle. This guy was always hanging everywhere except in class and the worst part was, one look from my teacher and he would get called into the principal's office. I waited to see if we would make eye contact and just as he was about to disappear from my field of vision, he turned around and saw me. I instantly waved hello, trying to hold my laughter but as always when two friends are doing something out of the usual, it all seems that much funnier. As he made funny faces, I giggled and caught my teacher's attention who instructed me to focus on her class. I quietly waved Jungkook goodbye as it seemed the teacher hadn't noticed him.
Wednesday, it was three pm and we were all leaving early thanks to some teachers' meeting/lecture that none of us asked about.
"I hate that your parents are so strict with you" Jungkook muttered, looking at his boyfriend. "I can never go see you at your house..."
"No, but they don't know about this whole educational meeting which means we can hang out for the rest of the day" Taehyung said, snaking his arms around the ravenette's neck.
"Awesome!!"
"How about you, Hobi? Plans?" I asked.
"Not really, probably going to go home and play some x-box. Want to come, Chim?"
"No can do" I say and pouted. "Namjoon asked me to go drop of a file dad helped him with for yet another assignment"
"Are you going to try to see Yoongi?" Jungkook asked. He had his hands loosely wrapped around his boyfriend's figure.
"Maybe, I'll see once I get there" We said our goodbye and left the school grounds.
As I got home, I saw mom's car was in the garage which meant she had carpooled to work. I danced around knowing I wasn't going to have to get an uber and that I could even go see my friends later and enjoy the freedom of having a car. I grabbed the file that was on my father's desk, sent mom a text saying I was grabbing the car and made my way to my brother's college campus.
Just as I stepped foot outside the car, my phone buzzed, it was a text from Yoongi.
Yoongi: I'm so tired of class
Me: Tell me about it, mine were cut short today
I'm actually at your university, Namjoon needed something from the house
Yoongi: Text me when you're done and we can go get something to drink
It puzzled me to see Yoongi hadn't even asked me if I wanted to go with him, but if I was honest, I did like it when he took control of things like this.
