Beomgyu let out a groan of frustration as he dramatically face planted on Percy's bed, his textbook long forgotten on the dorm room floor. It was the evening before his final exams and things were going less than pleasant.

Frankly, things have been shit ever since the field trip to the metropolitan museum of art. Beomgyu was used to weird things happening to him, but the twenty-four-seven hallucinations were making him feel like he was high on drugs and needed to get checked out by a psychiatrist as soon as possible.

Every single student, teacher, and hell, even the principal of Yancy Academy were convinced that Ms.Kerr, a very friendly blonde woman who showed up at the end of their field trip a few months ago, was the math teacher instead of Ms.Dodds since Christmas.

Beomgyu wasn't complaining about the teacher swap. Mr.Kerr was a pretty nice teacher-but it was still unnerving to be around her, the paranoia of her turning into a demon just like Ms. Dodds was high.

Who would have ever thought that Choi Beomgyu would have to add 'Demon Math Teachers' to his list of fears? But alas, here he was shaking in his converse, hands clenching his sharpened pencils whenever Ms. Kerr walked a little too close to him, ready to stab and run if she started to transform into another demon and tried to claw his face off.

The only thing keeping him grounded to reality at this point was Percy. Once in a while Percy would spring up a Ms.Dodds reference to see if anyone would react, but all they did was look at him like he was a psychopath, before going back to ignoring him like usual.

Beomgyu almost believed everyone. That Ms.Dodds was just a figment of his imagination, and that the M&Ms that he and Percy had consumed were truly in fact infected with magical mushrooms that made people see connected hallucinations.

Almost.

Grover was...less than convincing when it came to the topic of Ms.Dodds, always hesitating or stuttering before hastily switching the topic to something else.

Something had happened to Beomgyu and Percy that day at the museum, and it had nothing to do with magical M&Ms.

He tried his best to not think about the demonic math teacher, but the nightmares plaguing his sleep thought otherwise. Every night he was waking up in cold sweat, the dying screech of Ms.Dodds ringing in his ears.

It was safe to say that Percy wasn't fairing much better either, facing the same horrors of leathery wings and sharp talons in his dreams. It wasn't uncommon for both of them to be awake in the dead of night huddling together in one bed under heaps of blankets trying to find comfort in each other before slowly falling back asleep in each other's embrace, only to wake up and repeat the same steps the next night when Ms.Dodds appeared in their dreams like clockwork.

If Grover had ever seen them asleep in the same bed he never said anything or asked any questions.

The freak weather continued, which was not helping either of the boys' moods, especially not Percy's. Most of the time he was cranky and irritable, getting into fights with Nancy and her friends almost everyday and piling up detentions like nobody's business. Beomgyu wouldn't have been surprised if Percy had created a new school record for most amount of detentions given to a single person.
