his vision blurs, he slowly opened his eyes as he got up from the ground. dusting off his clothes the traveler started to look around.
from afar he noticed a big tree, standing in the center of the world. he walked under the eerier sky and approached the giant tree. along the way he starts to heard a faint whisper. he couldn’t tell whether it’s from a man or woman’s voice but for a second he catch a glimpse of words from the whisper.
“...World… forget me…”
as he reaches the tree, the traveler then rests his hand on it before a white orb comes out of the tree. hovering around him before turning into some kind of vision of the past.
There he watches a white-haired adult woman talking with a mysterious figure. He couldn’t see its whole body, only a glimpse of long blue hair. The woman talks with the figure before the tragedy happens.
The figure attacked the woman, piercing her chest with his own bare hand.
Aether: !!!
After that the orb suddenly disappeared along with Aether regaining his consciousness.
Paimon: Traveler? T-Traveler!
the violent shaking from Paimon forced aether to wake up, he straightened his posture before sitting on the edge of the bed.
Aether: *groans* how long since I passed out? wait… what happen…
a shadow emerge from the corner of the room.
Rimuru: are you okay, blondie?
the boy walked in, startled both Paimon and Aether.
Paimon: geez! don’t just appeared out of nowhere!
the little fairy stomps her tiny feet in the air as the boy replied with a light chuckle. then he walked closer to the traveler before putting his palm on the traveler’s forehead.
Rimuru: seem normal. *nod* not that cold nor hot.
and then someone entered the tent, and it was Collei. she holding a tray with a bowl in it, steam came out of bowl.
Collei: traveler! oh, and Mr. Rimuru too. I am here to bring you some hot stew!
the girl smiled and proceed to place down the tray on the table next to the be-
Rimuru: no need to bother. we’re going off to sumeru city in a few minutes.
the girl stopped as her smile dropped. though Rimuru didn’t mean it that way.
Collei: I-I see… of course yeah!
noticing the girl’s sadness Aether got up from the bed and took the tray from her. which caught her off guard. then the traveler starts to eat his hot stew, while Collei watches with a smile adorning her face.
Paimon: hey, don’t take it too seriously, okay! He just sucks at women!
joked Paimon as she reassured Collei. while rimuru just sighed out and left the tent.
he then walked away.
an hour has passed. Aether’s party is ready to leave the village. but before they left, the traveler had a word with Collei. Aether promised to get back once in a while and they ended their conversation with a parting smile. then, the party proceeded to go towards Sumeru City.
along the way they encountered some monsters.
Paimon: *sigh* Rimuru, this takes too long! can you do something about it?
the little fairy said, flying over Aether’s shoulder.
Rimuru who was walking behind them exhaled loudly as he looked at Paimon.
