when the shadow finally came out of the mirror, a mysterious lady appeared out of nowhere.

???: my, rimuru-sama~ you're the one at fault here *giggle*
the lady then looked around until she saw the cloud retainer.
???: ara~ long time no see, cloud retainer~
C.retainer: *scoffs* Primordial's minion. how did you manage to free her, rimuru?
???: *scoffs* how rude~ i'm no one minion. and i already have a name, given by rimuru-sama.
the lady once again turned around and looked at aether whose half body was already covered by shadow.
???: the gaze of abyss... it's a curse that I can't remove. but...
Aether: ri....muru...! kill.... rimu...ru...I...will... arghhhhh!
???: rimuru-sama, may I?
Rimuru: do as you please *shrughs*

a huge gate appeared and consumed aether along with the mirror.
C.retainer: the gate of suffering... one of the many gates that connects to the forsaken paradise, or so the myth tells us *sigh*
Rimuru: hmm...
???: is something wrong, rimuru-sama?
Rimuru: ...no, there's nothing.
the gate finally appeared again, but with a unconscius aether.
Rimuru: welp... I guess there's no need to fight, eh?
C.retainer: huh... it's also said that the gate of suffering holds the second promise...
