"don't you need to go to work?" Oon asked Ngusoi.

"no, if I need to do anything I can work from home" Ngusoi replied.

"well ... don't feel like you have to keep me entertained, I'm used to being alone" Oon said.

"but there's no need to be alone now, we are mates after all"

"not that again, look Ngusoi, just because you coerced me into divulging my personal information it doesn't mean anything has changed"

"but why?" Ngusoi asked him.

"we are so different, for a start I'm a ... and you're a ... well you don't need me to tell you and look at how you live, my room back at our pack house is about the same size as your elevator, even my boss doesn't live like you, his room is only slightly bigger than mine so what can you and I possibly have in common?" Oon said.

"instead of thinking of reasons why we can't make it work, why not just give us a chance? the goddess wouldn't have shipped us if we were incompatible" Ngusoi  said.

"I don't know ..." Oon began

"look, we can't go out because of your foot, I don't want you putting any weight on it but why don't we have a date night? I can cook for us or order in whatever you like and we can get to know each other a little better ... I've already learnt so much about you and I've only known you a few days" Ngusoi said.

"well I learnt that you like to be in control" Oon grimaced.

"I'm an alpha, what can I say" Ngusoi shrugged.

"wait a minute, if there's only you and you don't know of any other lycan's in your area, how do you know you're an alpha?" Oon smiled.

"there's no one to challenge me, ergo I'm an alpha whereas you my cute little mate, are stubborn, argumentative, and annoying" Ngusoi laughed.

"if I'm all those things then why do you want me?" Oon said.

"because when you shut up for five minutes you're also adorable and incredibly sexy" Ngusoi replied remembering Oon's exposed thigh last night.

"what do you mean, when I shut up for five minutes? anyone would think I ..." Oon began before Ngusoi cut him off.

"I rest my case, you even argue about arguing" Ngusoi laughed.

"well I ... oh I know I'll call the pack house" Oon said going off on a tangent, he had been thinking about how to get in touch with Raz when he thought of calling back home, surely they would know what's going on?"

Oon picked up his phone and called the pack house hoping that someone would pick up, there was bound to be someone around at this time of day and luckily someone picked up after a few rings,

"hello, golden sunset here" a voice spoke.

"hey, Oon here, whose that?" Oon said.

"oh, hi Oon, it's Waya, it's not like you to call the house, what's up?"

"I'm trying to get a hold of Raz, is he around?" Oon asked her.

"nope, didn't he call you?" Waya asked.

"well he did but my battery was dead then after I charged up my phone he's not picking up"

"nagh he's probably having  communication problems of his own, he and Pon went back to Canada, the last time we heard from him they were halfway up the mountain heading back to that village they went to on their vacation, some emergency or something" Waya said.
