The school day had passed in a blur of classes and conversations. When Y/N finally returned home, she was greeted by the familiar comfort of her family's cozy living room. The smell of dinner wafted through the house, and she could hear her little brother's excited chatter form the kitchen.

"Hey sweetie, how was your day?" her mom asked as Y/N walked in, setting her bag down.

"Not bad," Y/N replied, sliding into a chair at the dinner table. "We had a good day of classes. Oh, and Aiko dragged me to watch the boys volleyball practice."

Her dad raised an eyebrow. "The boys' volleyball team, huh? Did you see anyone who caught your eye?"

Y/N felt her cheeks flush slightly at the question. "Um, yeah, there was someone who stood out. But it was more about the game for me. I just thought it was interesting to watch."

Her mom smiled knowingly. "The volleyball team does have some pretty talented players. It's good to see you taking an interest in different things."

Y/N quickly shifted the topic to avoid any further embarrassment. "Speaking of volleyball, how was your practice today, little bro?"

Her brother's face lit up as he launched into an enthusiastic account of his practice. "It was awesome! Coach says I'm getting better at my serves. Maybe one day I'll be as good as the high school players you saw."

Y/N nodded, impressed. "I'm sure you will. Just keep up the hard work."

Her dad then turned to Y/N. "How's your practice going? You've got that band performance coming up, right?"

Y/N smiled, appreciating their interest. "Yeah, it's going well. We've been working hard on our setlist. I'm just trying to get everything perfect for the performance."

Her mom looked pleased. "I'm sure you'll do great. Your dad, I and Jun are really looking forward to seeing you perform."

After dinner, Y/N and her brother settled down in the living room. He continued to excitedly talk about his volleyball club, recounting every detail of his practice. Y/N listened attentively, offering encouragement and advice where she could.

"It sounds like you're making great progress," Y/N said as her brother finished his story. "Just keep at it, and you'll keep improving."

As her brother went to finish his homework, Y/N retreated to her room to prepare for her own practice. She was the lead singer in a band, and they had an upcoming performance that required some serious preparation. Setting up her music stand and turning on her speakers, she began to run through the setlist, focusing on perfecting her vocals.

Just as she was about to start her second run-through of a particularly tricky song, her phone buzzed on the nightstand. She glanced at it, expecting a notification, but was surprised to see a message from an unknown number. Curious, she picked up her phone and unlocked it.

The message read:

Y/N smiled, feeling a surge of happiness.

As she set her phone aside and returned to her singing practice, she couldn't help but feel a little giddy. This was shaping up to be an interesting weekend. With a contended sigh, she focused on perfecting her performance, the excitement of the upcoming hangout with Iwaizumi adding an extra spark to her practice.

Later that night, as she lay in bed, she found herself thinking about their upcoming meet-up. She hoped it would be as enjoyable as their brief conversations had been. Maybe this weekend would bring more surprises and opportunities to get to know each other better.

With these thoughts in mind, Y/N drifted off to sleep, eagerly anticipating the weekend ahead.
