It had been a few months since Y/N and Iwaizumi started dating. Despite the occasional fights and misunderstandings, they always managed to work things out, growing stronger together. They seemed almost destined for each other—like soulmates. As their relationship blossomed, so did the teasing from their friends, especially Oikawa and Aiko, who never missed an opportunity to poke fun at the two of them.
Now, it was the final day of school. Graduation. The air was filled with excitement, anticipation, and a bit of nostalgia as students gathered one last time before heading off on their separate paths.
Oikawa and Iwaizumi stood outside near the school gym after the ceremony, leaning against the wall, watching the hustle and bustle of their classmates. Oikawa, as always, had a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"So, Iwa-chan," Oikawa began with a smirk, "now that we're officially free from this place, what's the plan? Volleyball? Athletic training? Or should I start preparing for your wedding with Y/N?"
Iwaizumi sighed but couldn't help but smile. "Volleyball, huh? You never change, shittykawa."
Oikawa flicked his hair dramatically. "Of course not! I'm continuing my volleyball career! Gonna be the best setter the world has ever seen." He flashed his signature grin.
Iwaizumi chuckled. "As for me, I'm going to California. I got into the University of California to study sports science. Gonna become an athletic trainer."
Oikawa nodded thoughtfully. "The University of California, huh? That's amazing, Iwa-chan!" But then, his expression shifted to something more serious as he glanced at Iwaizumi. "What about Y/N? Have you talked to her about the whole long-distance thing yet?"
Iwaizumi felt a small knot form in his stomach. He knew this conversation would come up eventually, but now it was real. "Not yet," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "But I will. We've already talked about the future, but I want to make sure she's okay with it."
Oikawa raised an eyebrow. "You will talk to her? Dude, you're literally going halfway across the world. You better make sure she's okay with it now before you're stuck FaceTiming her at 3 a.m. while you're sleep-deprived from studying."
Iwaizumi groaned. "I know, I know. I'm just waiting for the right time to bring it up."
Oikawa grinned wickedly. "You? Waiting for the right time? Iwa-chan, this is the right time. Actually, any time is better than never, you know?"
Iwaizumi glared at Oikawa but couldn't help but laugh at his ridiculous advice. "Yeah, yeah. I'll talk to her today, okay? Happy now?"
"Thrilled," Oikawa replied dramatically, tossing his head back. "Oh, the drama. The romance. It's like a cheesy high school romance movie, and I'm loving every second of it."
Before Iwaizumi could retort, Y/N and Aiko appeared around the corner, laughing about something together.
"Speak of the devil," Oikawa whispered to Iwaizumi with a smirk. "Your princess has arrived."
