For the past 8 months fans of 5SOS bassist, Calum Hood, and model, Adriana Luna, have wondered whether or not the two are still friends. Hood and Luna are both from Sydney, Australia, reportedly growing up together as next-door neighbors. Early fans of Hood's band may recognize her from the band's early YouTube covers, as she has been a prominent background person in almost all of the band's lives. Luna is an Instagram model, sometimes posting occasional covers on her social media, however, she has been featured in a recent issue of VOGUE Australia. The pair were last seen together at a New Year's Eve party hosted by their mutual friend Ashton Irwin. Fans found it odd that Luna did not seem to spend Hood's birthday with him just a few weeks later. Following her absence, fans noticed that the pair had unfollowed each other on all platforms. They have since not been pictured together or interacting, shutting down, or straight up ignoring comments or questions about each other. Luna still follows the 5 Seconds of Summer account and Hood's 3 other bandmates on Instagram, but is rarely spotted with any of them. Some fans were quite sad to see the pair split so suddenly without any sort of explanation, others seemed glad, claiming that Luna was hanging around with wrong intentions. Either way, Luna's birthday passed last month, and along with it came the announcement of her debut album "dove" and a first look at the album cover.

Fans are excited as Luna announces in an Instagram caption that her new album will drop on September 27th of this year. Many are wondering if the album will feature any songs about her seemingly EX-best friend, as she wrote "after a rough year, this album was so healing to make and i'm so glad i finally get to share this secret <3".
