The further he ran to the direction of the slums, the less people he saw. Makes sense as the knight explained that the slums is well known for its dangerous aspects.

A land long neglected by the kingdom, victim of various unseen consequences is the Slums. Most of the inhabitants are part of the lowest social classes and struggle to survive day to day

Some people throw away their dignity to start a life of crime to make ends meet as we've seen with the trio that tried to rob Steve. Lurking in the shadows to catch unexpecting prey, most attempts of going in a more aggresive style of robbery will result in swift punishment by the knights. The Slum dwellers most of the time got no special abilities to fend off the trained knights and has no chance of developing unique skills due to the lack of education and tutoring, preffering to flock in groups in a scare tactic.

But still, you can still succed in the life crime without a gang to tag along, to attempt to raise your social class against the system tailor made to keep you down. Migrate to the way of stealth and agility, focus only on the hit-and-run aspect and fight back if absolutely necessary, go sneaky and steal a valuable item, when they notice they got mugged you will already be long away with them barely getting a glimpse of you

Its still risky, everything is risky on the slums

Thats what the prodigy thieve Felt thought being put into a more formal sense, cant expect a 14 year old girl to think in a not crude way while being raised in this hell hole

Running ontop roftops of the capital from the dragon kingdom Lugnica, she pulled out her newest prized stolen good from her pocket, a golden emblem with a dark red gem in the middle that faintly glowed when she held it. Grabbing it tightly to make sure it wouldn't fall, she said out loud with a fat smirk

"A good noble is a stupid noble, that Lady had no idea what was coming for her. Probably could've stolen her pretty pendant with my eyes closed because of how easy it was." Giggles slightly

"She must be running around a busy crowd like a headless chicken trying to find out who stole her thing." The rooftops came to a close as she quickly ran through atleast 20 roofs in a few minutes, displaying her inhuman speed. Ready to do a massive jump on the edge of the last rooftop, she glanced at the pitiable look of the slums in the distance before taking a leap that would put most professional athletes to shame, a mysterious burst of wind came from Felt as the winds proppeled her jump to great heights.

"Hyaaa" with a scream she used these winds to proppel her towards a metal pole in a impressive dash. She grabbed it with one hand and spinned gracefully a bit before leaping at the ground, masterfully coming out of that insane jump unharmed

The pole was quite in the rough state, rust covered its bottom parts and had deep mark on the spots Felt spun on while holding it, evident that she does this maneuver to get to the Slums often, it did indeed fit the Slums

Streched a bit and let out a breather. Felt was finally back at the entrance of her supposed hometown, but a newcomer entered the turf.

Out of the streets, Steve found a tree behind a run down house, finally time to make his first crafting table and basic weapons to move up in this world. Tightly clenching his fists, he punched it on the middle of the tree, the leaves widly ruffled around and a large indent was left in the spot but not enough to knock it down

He went for another on the spot and it shattered the remaining bit of wood desperately trying to hold the tree up, Steve backed away a bit and what unfolded next would add even more to his list of "cool things in this world."

To his surprise, the tree's upper part didn't magically float in the air. No, gravity made its grand entrance as one of this world's fundamental laws, forcefully bringing the upper part to plummet towards Steve, he stared at awe towards the display of basic physics
