Carmilla: You called me here under the basis of a favour and here we are ten minutes later without a single deal in place, or a mention of the favour. I am in right mind to just walk out of this room and send my men to come deal with you.

I smirked. I was playing my games with her like I always did. You see, Carmilla could never seem to get out from under my thumb. And I loved every second of seeing her metaphorically squirm and struggle when she tries to put on this tough act in front of everyone else. It was a melancholic bliss.

Vesper: Why so hasty Mills? You know you can't do that to me, so why are you so quick to make false threats?

That pissed her off and I loved it. Seeing her angry little face always did spark a joy within me. Knowing I was the only person in the world that could rile her up and live to tell the tale was so amusing to me.

Carmilla: Hijo de puta how many times do I have to tell you don't call me that!

I wave off her anger like it's nothing.

Vesper: You're in my office. Now calm down.

Carmilla: I hated you enough before but now you're working with that spoilt little inane short stack and her two pets I lost all respect I had for you. You little rodent.

That only served to water the plant that was my amusement.

Vesper: Fine, fine, you want to be so hasty about this then I guess I'll leave no choice. I need the favour asap. A long term favour that would see you join our production line. A favour that would see our first product under the angelic security branch launched to the public.

Carmilla: Oh I am absolutely not working with you or your fucking friends. My well respected name is not being placed alongside a group of petulant children who argue when they don't get what they want. Not gonna happen.

I stand up and pull my whiteboard across.

Vesper: Who's to say it's a favour for the Vees? You're saying you don't want to put your name on something that will benefit all of hell, including but not limited to the millions of souls you alone own. And then the millions of souls of all the overlords that keep you in charge of everything? You're really denying hell the opportunity to protect themselves from the heavenly onslaught that is coming faster than ever because you forced it to?

That stunned her into silence. She didn't expect me to know she'd done that.

Vesper: You see, I saw Adam and his new plaything flying around hell earlier and I couldn't help but observe their conversation. They found the dead angel. The one that Velvette brought up in the meeting. And your reaction in the meeting said it all didn't it? Everyone in that meeting room knows what you did, even if they're not fully sure of it, they can get the idea. They're not stupid, they're overlords for a reason. But that's why they're adding a second extermination every year. Because of your dumbass mistake countless innocent lives are in danger.

She stood up and snapped.

Carmilla: I did what I had to do to protect the ones that I love and care for the most! So stop talking like you know anything!

Vesper: There you are...

I pointed to the whiteboard. On it was details about what the favour was.

Vesper: You see, this favour doesn't involve arming anybody, nor does it involve spilling your secret to the world. It just involves supplying us with what we need to protect the people. This business venture me and Velvette are collaborating on needs your help. That's all.

Carmilla: For the last time I'm not doing anything for the petulant child.

Vesper: No, you're not, you're doing it for me because you owe me. Or have you forgotten you signed off on that...?
