I woke up the next morning feeling empty and lost once again. Why is this always happening to me?  is it my fault? It took a lot of strength to get out of bed, I got dressed and went downstairs, I was not letting myself sink in again. even if my insides where feeling twirls and my head is pounding. I took breakfast alone, mother was not home, weird since is so early. i went to fathers' study and he was not there neither, I was alone. went to the garden to seek some fresh air, Mary was watering the flowers.

"Morning Mary, where's everyone?"

"Oh good morning miss, yes today everybody is doing errands" she looked anxious

"ok... what errands?"

"well, your dad is at the newspaper building doing the new home page news"

"really? that's odd, what is so important to announce that father has to go?"

"Miss Emilia, you got a visitor" another maid Interrupts

"who?" I ask

"Detective Robrick's" she answers

I got a little happy knowing he came to visit. "Please bring him in" I turned around and Mary was no longer there. I went and sat at our garden table. Then I see Steven walking towards me looking sour.

"Good morning miss Emilia" I noted the low tone

"Good morning, detective, sit down please"

"I will be quick no need"

I was surprised, he is treating me so different. "ok well speak up" now I'm a little pissed

"I just came to say that, I'm happy that you are fine or glad, relief doesn't matter" he scratch his forehead, he looks like fighting with something inside his head.

"are you feeling ok?" I touched his arm worried. He fast steps away

"Yes, I am, I just don't know why I came" he looks at me so helpless 

"well, I don't know what to tell you really"

"why did you lied?"

"Excuse me? i don't understand" 

"you told me your relationship with mister bennet was profesional, yet I just heard that you guys where intimate" he sounded so bothered by that fact.

I stood there speechless; I really don't understand why he was so mad about it. "I-I really"

"you what, there's no need, is not my business, I'm just investigating your sister case"

"no, steven-" he cuts me before I try to explain

"by the way, I got some new intel, but at the moment is kind of really delicate, things been getting complicated, and I think you need to settle things first"

"What? I don't understand, what new information you have on my sister?"

Then Jonathan appears behind steven. "Good morning detective, may I ask what you are speaking with my fiancé alone in the garden?"

"fiancé? don't get over your head" I said mad

"Just pure profesional sir, nothing to worry, now I'm on my way, see you tonight, both" he said looking at Jonathan like a cat to a mouse, then he left fast.

"What is wrong with you, don't be saying that we are not engaged, and we never will be"

"Are you sure about that little pup" he tries to touch her face, but she pushed his hand away.

"Are you crazy?"

"What? your mother hasn't told you yet?"
