Journey to Kumo

I've decided to update this story! And the ship that has come up the most is....*drum roll* SasuNaru! Sorry to anyone who wanted something else. If no one voted I would have picked this too. So, yay! Sasuke X Naruto! It has only been a day since the last chapter ended, so Naruto isn't too far from Suna yet. I don't own Naruto... Now read on!

NARUTO'S POV

I sit under a tree while taking a drink from my water pack. I sigh. "Such a long journey ahead of me..." I trail off. I slid my mask onto my face again and make my way out to Kumo again. (For the ones who don't know, Kumogakure is the hidden cloud village in the country of lightning) After hours of tree jumping I decide to call it a day. After scouting the place out I set up a camp in a cave for a bit. 'Soon I'll be there,'

Third Person POV

Tonight was the night a certain Uchiha was leaving. No I'm not talking about Itachi. Sasuke Uchiha was leaving, but not for power. Sasuke grunts as he shoves as many things as possible into his small-ish bag. He wipes the invisible sweat off his brow after he successfully closes the pack. He slings it over his shoulders and jumps through the open window, not looking back once. He walked silently through the dead silent streets. The two gate keepers were asleep at their posts. Which luckily for the Uchiha, made his escape quite easier. With one last look, Sasuke disappears in a swirl of leaves, which we all know Kakashi taught him. Meanwhile in a certain Haruno's house, Sakura woke up in cold sweat. Why you ask? Because she just had a nightmare of that very Uchiha leaving again. 

(MORNING) KAKASHI'S POV  

I got up, wait you guessed it, late. Though I wasn't too worried, so I took my sweet sweet time in getting ready. I had a long shower, after eating at a rather slow rate before drifting to our meet up spot. Oddly though, when I made it the little bridge, only Sakura was there with a very worried expression. "Ma, where's Sasuke?" I ask, fearing the answer. 

"I don't know... he never missed anything in his life, for him to not show up is, weird," Sakura whispers. I nod and poof away, appearing right in front of the Uchiha compound. The house that Sasuke stayed in was empty, his stuff that would be needed for missions was all gone, along with all his shinobi things. The only thing left in was in Sasuke's room. A small scrap piece of paper tucked under his pillow. I gently tug it out and read it. 

Kakashi, Sakura,

Don't look for me

Sasuke

The piece of paper only contained four words: Don't. Look. For. Me. "Typical Uchiha," I mutter as I toss the now crumpled piece of paper at the wall. "Is he going back to Orchimaru for power or the Akatsuki? Maybe he's finally going after Itachi?" I question to the air. A breeze came into the room, knocking me out of my thoughts. "I have to report this to the Hokage," I decide. And with that, I poof into the Hokage's office. 

"Hokage-sama!" I greet as I kneel down before Tsunade. 

"Is there something wrong Kakashi?" asked Tsunade.
