Inks and innings chp 38

Divya finished her toast and was about to head out the door when Abhi called out to her again.

"Jaan, wait a second," Abhi said, his tone suddenly serious. "I need to tell you something."

Divya paused, turning back to face him. "What is it, Abhi?"

"Maa called yesterday " he began, taking a deep breath. "And there's something important I need to share with you."

The urgency in his voice made her stop in her tracks. She put her bag down, giving him her full attention, curious and a bit apprehensive about what he was about to say.

Abhi took a deep breath, bracing himself for Divya's reaction. "Actually, maa wanted to host our reception we didn't have it and earlier we postponed it as it was not right but now i want to show the world that i am your husband and you are taken ."

Divya looked up from her work, eyes widening in surprise. "A reception? Now? After everything that's happened?"

Abhi nodded, his expression earnest. "Yes. I know it's sudden, but I want everyone to know that we're together. I want to celebrate us."

Divya felt a rush of emotions—uncertainty, fear, but also a flicker of excitement. She had always dreamed of a beautiful reception, but given their rocky past, she wasn't sure how she felt about it now. "I don't know, Abhi... We've been through so much. Are we really ready for this?"

Abhi reached out and took her hands, his grip firm yet gentle. "I know we have a lot to work on, and things aren't perfect. But I want to try. I want to show the world that we're committed to making this work. Please, Divya, give us this chance."

Divya looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity and determination there. She hesitated, her mind racing with doubts and hopes. Finally, she took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay, Abhi. Let's do it. Let's have the reception."

A relieved smile spread across Abhi's face. "Thank you, Divya. I promise, this will be the start of something new for us."

As they embraced, Divya felt a sense of hope and possibility. Maybe, just maybe, this reception could be the fresh start they both needed.

Divya and Abhi decided to visit Kavya and Rajveer to discuss the reception and plan everything. They arrived at Kavya and Rajveer's house in the evening, greeted warmly by the couple.

"Hey, you two!" Kavya exclaimed, pulling Divya into a hug. "What's this sudden visit about?"

Abhi glanced at Divya and smiled. "We have some exciting news. We've decided to finally host our reception, and we need your help to plan everything."

Rajveer raised an eyebrow, grinning. "Well, it's about time! Come in, let's sit down and talk."

They all settled in the living room, Kavya eagerly pulling out a notebook to jot down ideas. "So, what do you guys have in mind?"

Divya looked around, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. "We want something elegant but not too over the top. A venue where we can invite our friends and family, with good food and music,we will need to invite media too"

Kavya nodded, scribbling notes. "Got it. Any specific date in mind?"

Abhi and Divya exchanged glances. "We were thinking in about a month. That gives us enough time to plan and send out invitations," Abhi said.

Rajveer leaned back, thoughtful. "We could book the Royal Orchid Hotel. It has a beautiful banquet hall and a garden for an outdoor ceremony."

"That sounds perfect," Divya agreed. "And we can hire a good decorator to make the place look stunning."
