Kokushibio's POV

I heard something shifting. I looked at where the noise was coming from. It turned out it was coming from the bed. So I walked towards the bed and then lifted the blankets to see Akaza twisting and turning in the bed. I shook him to wake him up, and his eyes opened within a second he looked at me and asked "Where am I". I said in my room. He seemed to calm down a bit after my response. I felt the need to hug and protect him. I got onto the bed and hugged him.

I don't know what came over me, but this felt right. Seeing him awake was a blessing. He still looked tired and ill, but he was awake at the very least. What interrupted me from my thought was when Akaza hugged me back. I told Akaza how much he worried me. With him not waking up for almost 3 days. Akaza seemed surprised and sorry. Akaza apologized for the worry he caused me. I was just happy to see him awake, of course, I forgave him. It was not his fault for sleeping so long after all. He seemed tired so I suggested he go to sleep and with that, he soon fell asleep in my arms. I fell asleep soon after him embracing the realm of sleep.

In The Morning

I woke up bright and early to tell Muzan the news. I got out of bed slowly and carefully so as to not wake Akaza. I then left, heading towards Muzans office still in my sleepwear. I knocked on the door, he answered to come in. I went in and bowed to Muzan. He said, "Don't bow" so I listened and stood straight. He asks what I want. I said I wanted to inform you of Akaza's condition. He is a little surprised and asks how he is. I told him that Akaza woke up last night. He seemed shocked by the news, but he seemed less worried and less tense than he was the past couple of days. He tells me to bring Akaza to him when he wakes up so he can check on his health, due to Akaza not eating for 3 days. I agreed and headed back to my room. I soon got myself bathed and dressed and Akaza as well. I put him back in bed to sleep.

A Few Hours Later

Akaza POV

I woke up on Kokushibo's bed so I got up to leave, but I was picked up by Kokushibo himself. He said he needed to take me to Muzan. I told him I could walk, and he said no and carried me the whole way there. I felt a bit thin, but I didn't think too much about it. I and Kokushibo arrived at Muzan's office.

I was a little scared of Muzan being upset about me falling ill so to hide, I buried my face in Kokushibo's chest. Kokushibo carried me into Muzan's office. I heard Muzan telling him to sit down. I felt I was about to fall on how fast Kokushibo sat down, but I didn't. Muzan soon asked me to look at him. I of course listened, but I was visibly shaking.

Kokushibio's POV

I noticed Akaza was shaking like he saw the dead rise. I tried hugging him to see if he would calm down and it seemed to work. Muzan gave me a look then got up and walked up to Akaza to touch his forehead. Akaza seemed to be frightened and once again, he hid his face in my chest. I did not mind this, but it got in the way of Muzan fully checking him so I pulled Akaza away and held him in front of me so Muzan could check him. After the whole checking process, I brought Akaza close to my chest and wrapped my arms around him protectively. Akaza seemed to relax and soon fell asleep.

I asked Muzan for any updates on the antidote. Muzan says "Yes there is, it will be complete in two days. Also now that Akaza is conscious he will need to eat to make up for not eating for the three days when he was unconscious and will need all the rest he can." I replied that I understood and would make those arrangements as soon as possible for Akaza as I left for the door. Muzan remarked how he knows things will turn out in my favor with Akaza. I thanked him for the support and left closing the door behind me.

Narrators's POV

After closing the door, Kokushibio heads towards his room and places Akaza with the utmost care down on his bed. He heads out of his room. Intending to leave the mansion, he is soon stopped and asked by someone about heading out with him so they can chat.
