First Date Pt 2

I ran out of my bedroom and to the door to see all three of my brothers standing at the door,arms crossed and eyebrows raised.

"I'm ready!" I said hurriedly,hoping that they hadn't said anything weird to Teddy.Knowing them though,they definitely did.

They all turned to me,and then their jaws dropped in astonishment. "Wow" said Ponyboy, "You look-"

"Like Mom" Darry finished for him. Teddy blinked, "you look beautiful" he said breathlessly.Butterflies appeared in my stomach,I was getting nervous. 

"I remember Mom wearing that dress all the time" stated Soda, "it suits you".  "Thanks guys", I said gratefully. I looked at Teddy properly for the first time. He certainly cleaned up nice. He wore a light blue shirt,a darker blue tie and smart pants. His hair had been neatly styled with gel and his shoes had clearly just been polished."You look good" I told him,a grin appeared on his face.

He was holding a single red rose and handed it to me as I walked down to meet him.

I turned to the crowd of people at the door. "Thanks so much for the help Annette.". "No problem" she answered. I turned to Teddy, "we should go now".

He nodded, "It was nice to see you Ponyboy",Pony nodded at him. "And it was nice to meet you too" he said nodding at Darry and Soda.

Darry gave him an intimidating stare, "I'll pick you up at ten Baby,and no later!" he told me.And then we were finally off!

"What did they say to you?" I asked anxiously once we were of our street. "Nothing!" replied Teddy, "I don't know,I'm not sure your older brothers liked me all that much.I hope I wasn't late,I don't have a watch".

"No,no you were right on time!" I reassured him. "They would have acted like that around anybody.They're just protective".

We chatted about this and that until we arrived at the dingo where he bought me a coke.The big billboard at the door to the dingo said it was karaoke night.It was mainly just drunks and men trying to be funny doing it but there were some real good singers.

"So what singers do you like Baby?" asked Teddy. I put down my coke, "Well my brothers and I like Elvis so that's what we mainly listen to.I like Leslie Gore as well and The Beatles but my brothers don't like them all that much".

"I like The Beatles too" said Teddy happily, "can ya sing?". I shrugged,I never really tried much.Then it dawned on me what he was thinking of doing. "I'm not going up there!" I said determinedly,pointing at the stage. "Awww come on" pressed Teddy, "It'll be fun,I'm sure you're a great singer!" But I was adamant, "there's no way on earth I would sing in front of all those people". 

"Fine" answered Teddy, "then I will".And with that he got up out of his seat and walked off.

I thought he was joking,he would come back laughing saying he'd got me good,until I heard the into to "Here Comes The Sun" by The Beatles.And there was Teddy standing on the stage singing it,and boy was he good.

It's alright

I couldn't believe this boy.Everyone had stopped speaking amongst themselves and starting to listen to him.He seemed unphased by all the stares though,he was looking straight at me.

Teddy sang the song the whole way through,word for word and when he was finally done everyone clapped,me being the loudest.

"That was amazing!" I exclaimed enthusiastically, "I never knew you can sing like that". He blushed sheepishly, "it was just some fun.It's not too late for you to try?" . He finally stopped trying to convince me once the food arrived.We didn't stop talking for the rest of the night,it was the best time I'd had in a while.

Darry came to pick me up at ten,on the dot.I offered Teddy a ride home but he said his Mom was gonna pick him up,I think he was just scared of Darry.

"So how was it?" asked Darry as I got in the car. "It was good" I replied smiling.It was more than good,it was amazing. 

"OOOOOOHHHHHHHH"

Suddenly Ponyboy and Soda popped up from behind the seats, "Baby's got a boyfriend!" Soda sang teasingly.  I sighed and turned to Darry, "Can I walk home next time".

Bonjour! (My french test is tomorrow). Thanks to anyone following along this story I know it was pretty terrible at the beginning I applaud your bravery to keep going.I hope my writing skills are improving please someone tell me because I don't even know at this point lol. I am trying to get parts out as soon as I can but parts will probably be out every week or 2. If anyone has any ideas on what they want to happen next PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (BY SABRINA CARPENTER) COMMENT! I'm always open to criticism or ideas so they would be much appreciated!
