That night I made sure the rabbit was tucked away safely in a cozy little corner of my room hidden from anyone who might discover him.As I watched him settle in, a warm feeling spread through me, "I had done it. I had kept him safe."
The next morning the soft light of the sun woke me up gently.
I glanced over to see the rabbit already awake with his little nose twitching as he explored the bedding I had laid out for him.
It was Sunday and I couldn't help but smile.
There was no school and no interruptions, Just me and the rabbit.
"Good morning," I whispered as I reached out to stroke his soft fur.
The rabbit leaned into my touch and I felt a connection forming, something special and unspoken between us.
"I've been thinking," I said as I sat cross-legged on the floor next to him. "You need a name. I can't just keep calling you the rabbit."
He looked at me with those bright eyes as if he was waiting to hear what I would say.
"How about Snowy?" I suggested.
His white fur gleamed in the morning light and the name felt perfect for him.
"Snowy it is," I said with a grin.
"You know, Snowy, you're a blessing in disguise. My life has been... Well, not so great. But ever since I found you, everything seems a little better."
As the day went on, I talked to Snowy about everything including my dreams, my worries, the things that made me happy and the things that made me sad.
Snowy listened quietly and his gentle presence comforted me in ways I hadn't felt in a long time.
"You're my little secret, Snowy," I whispered as we sat by the window watching the world outside.
"No one knows about you, and that makes it even more special. You're like my own little piece of happiness that no one can take away."
Snowy's soft fur brushed against my hand and I felt a peacefulness I hadn't known in ages.
"Thank you for being here," I murmured as I felt tears of gratitude well up in my eyes.
"I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found you."
Sunday turned out to be one of the best days I had in a long time.
I spent the entire day with Snowy,
Just the two of us creating a little world of our own inside my room.
The outside world with all its problems felt far away.
As the sun began to set, I leaned back against my bed with Snowy nestled beside me.
A thought crossed my mind and I chuckled softly.
"If only you could talk, Snowy," I said with a smile. "I bet you would have some amazing stories to tell."
