Katsuki stared at Raika.

Raika stared at Katsuki.

".... This is awkward." He finally said.

"No shit." Raika responded. "Until those judges get back, we have no idea how much shit I'm in...."

At that moment, Mitsuki entered the waiting room they were in.

"This is all your fault!" The woman yelled at her.

"Bold claim coming from the woman who gave birth to me. I guess now we know where my horrible decision making comes from." Raika fired back.

"Wha- you make it sound like it's my fault you didn't die!"

"Wow. Blaming a child for surviving. What an amazing parent."

"You-"

"In fact, your bitch ass probably is still fucked up in the head from all those drugs you took."

"You little-"

"Oh, wait! My bad! I forgot that you're inherently a fucking bitch! It's no wonder Katsuki is so fucked up. No offense, Kat...."

"None taken." Katsuki said, shrugging.

"How dare you!" Mitsuki growled. "Katsuki turned out perfect! He's always been perfect! It's not like anyone could even tell him otherwise! Especially not his teachers at Aldera!"

"And why's that?" Raika questioned.

"It'd go against the deal we made-"

Mitsuki slammed a hand over her mouth.

"Deal?" Katsuki said slowly. "What do you mean deal?"

"I- it's nothing!" Mitsuki quickly said.

"What. Deal?" Katsuki pressed, smoke wisping from his palms.

Mitsuki looked like she'd been shot. She took a deep breath, before fixing her gaze on the floor.

"I just.... Paid Katsuki's teachers to keep Katsuki's record clean." She slowly said. "Any complaints or problems were just.... Redirected.... Onto Izuku."

Katsuki blew up. Literally.

"YOU BITCH!" He roared, Raika holding him back. "YOU LYING, CHEATING, CONNIVING BITCH! YOU DID THAT TO DEKU?! TO IZUKU?! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT HELL HE WENT THROUGH IN ALDERA?! HOW FUCKED HE WOULD'VE BEEN IF HE COULDN'T GO TO UA?!"

"Katsuki-"

"SHUT THE HELL UP! I WAS HORRIBLE TO HIM FOR SO LONG BECAUSE OF YOU! AND ON TOP OF THAT, YOU FUCKING DROVE ME TO TELL HIM TO-"

Katsuki froze. He turned, running out of the room, making a beeline for where he knew the other teen was.

".... Wow." Raika said, grinning. "I never thought I'd see him blow up at you. That must've been years of stored up resentment. You're definitely not getting anything for Mother's Day!"

Mitsuki didn't speak for a while. She couldn't. She looked so appalled and surprised by her son's outburst.

".... This is all your fault."

"Yeah, you've said that."

.

Raika was quiet, Fuyumi sitting next to her as she ranted about how boring work was without her around.

"Raika."

The two looked up, seeing Masaru standing there.

"Can we.... Talk?" He asked hesitantly.

"Yeah.... Snowflake, could you give us a minute?"

Fuyumi nodded, saying "I'll let you know when I hear something."

Once she walked away, Masaru met Raika's gaze.

".... God, I feel so stupid." Masaru said. "How did I not see the signs?!"

"It's fine, Masaru." Raika said, patting the spot next to her.

Masaru sat down, sighing.

"I didn't even know you existed, Raika." He said, sounding so.... Defeated. "Mitsuki didn't even tell Inko! If I knew what was happening-"

"It's fine." Raika repeated. "Not my fault you chose such a bitch to marry."

Masaru chuckled, sighing.

".... I needed glasses as a kid, you know." Raika suddenly said.

"Really?" Masaru asked.

"Mhm. My vision was pretty shit up until I was ten. Sometimes, when I'm stressed, or using my quirk, my vision goes back to that state. If you saw me back then, you would've know straight away that I was your kid."

Masaru leaned back, saying "I'm sure you were a lovely child."

Raika snorted.

"You're telling me. I got Mitsuki's mouth, but your calmness.... Most of the time."

Masaru sighed. Raika glanced over at him, studying his expression. He looked so.... Tired.

".... You feel bad." She voiced.

"I do...." Masaru said, turning to face her. "I just.... I watched Katsuki grow up. I was there for his first steps, his first word, the first time he used his quirk, and I intend to be there when he graduates high school."

"Where are you going with this?" She asked.

"My point is.... I missed out on one of my kid's whole life. I'm staring at someone who's my blood, and yet I know almost nothing about.... I do know one thing though."

"Which is?"

".... You're a wonderful young woman. And I'm sorry that I missed out on so much of your life."

Raika sighed.... She then leaned, resting her head on his shoulder.

".... You okay?"

"Let me just.... Enjoy having a dad for a moment."

*Meanwhile....*

"You lied to me." Inko growled, glaring harshly at the woman she once thought to be her best friend.

"I did what I had to." Mitsuki responded.

"Was it worth it?" She asked her.

Mitsuki frowned.

"What's that-"

"Your marriage is falling apart. Your son despises you. You abandoned your daughter, now turned villain. You've broken your nephew's trust. Not a single person in your family is on your side. You'll be lucky if your brand still even exists by the time things have cleared up. So, I ask once again, was it worth it?"

Mitsuki hadn't seen Inko this mad in years. Yes, while she admits it might've been hasty-

"The judges are ready." Fuyumi said, walking over.

*A few moments later....*

Raika was nervous.

Katsuki was nervous.

Everyone was nervous.

Finally, the judge cleared his throat, saying "Now then.... Raika Yamabi. The court has come to a decision.... For aiding in the League Of Villains, you've been found: not guilty. For all crimes committed by your hands, you've been found: not guilty. However, you'll be required to do community service for the next three months in order to make up for what you've done."

Raika let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding, Fuyumi squeezing her hand.

"As for you, Mitsuki Bakugo...."

Raika just stood up and walked out. She got what she came for.

"You okay?" Fuyumi asked.

"Yep.... Now, can I please have a kiss?"

"Of course, love."
