*Elizabeth's P.O.V*

"What do you think of this dress, mommy?" I ask as I do a little twirl at the end of the walkway for her.

"It's pretty but I don't think it's your style, baby." Mommy says after I finish the twirl.

"Definitely not, next!" The lady next to mommy yells out for the ladies in the back to hear.

It turns out the lady that stole me from mommy and then instructed everyone around on what to do is the Naomi that the haircut lady, Mrs. Kreuger, told us to go see. I didn't remember that exactly but mommy did and I overheard mommy telling Naomi so it should still count! It's not my fault they didn't ask if I remembered on my own!

I thought she was on my side from how helpful she was being after all the pretty dresses she found for me but ever since she sat down with mommy, she seems to be on mommy's side! It makes things totally unfair too because they always agree with one another, making it practically 2 vs. 1 on every dress. The staff also always listen to Naomi, making it even more unfair at like 15 vs. 1!

"Oh, stop pouting! Do you really want your underwear on full display? We can see your trainers with the slit going so high up, Beth, and you never are going to wear the appropriate undergarments so it will just sit in your closet, unworn." Mommy says, making me play with the two ends of the slit until I see what she means. Blushing, I do my best to now hold the slit closed as I dart back into the changing area to get out of this stupid dress.

I can't believe I didn't notice that early and it makes trying on all the other dresses I picked out with a slit pointless now. That is until we find one that is only partially slited. It's a turquoise dress that's tight around my waist and it has a slit that only runs up to about my mid thigh. There's no way my trainers are showing now though so this one I can show them!

"No..." Mommy says before I can even get to the end of the walkway.

"I agree with your mommy. It's a no..." Mean old Naomi says after I look at her for help.

Looking back at mommy, I watch her roll her eyes and get up, making me kind of nervous as I realize I was throwing a mini tantrum from being told no so quickly. I mean, I couldn't even do my twirl! Going to her slowly, I breathe a sigh of relief when she doesn't do anything to punish me.

"Go on then, do your twirl..." Mommy instructs and when I do with a bit of hesitation and confusion, it causes mommy to catch me as I trip and nearly fall so I totally blame mommy!

"You hate tight fitting things, child, and that's especially true for skirts since you are always tripping while wearing them from the limited movement. Not to mention how they always end up riding up from your attempts at longer strides until you are reminded to pull them down!" Mommy says as she picks me up and sets me on her hip, causing the dress to slide all the way up to around my waist and fully exposing my trainers for the entire store to see.

Luckily it's not a far walk back to mommy's chair though, where she sets me down and fixes my dress before lifting me onto her lap. My embarrassment isn't done yet though as she hands me a sippy cup full of apple juice to drink while they continue their conversation like I'm not even here!

It's a boring conversation anyway and I didn't really want to join even if they let me! That's why I barely care that mommy would always lift the cup back to my lips to shush me every time I tried to get a word in. Eventually though, when I'm about halfway through my juice, mommy suddenly stands back up and takes me into the back while carrying me on her hip again, my trainers once again fully exposed, making me really hate this dress and desperately want out of it as I hide my face against her neck.

Mommy takes her sweet time going through all the dresses one by one, leaving me to be fully embarrassed on her hip, vetoing a lot of them and sending them to be put back out on the racks like her opinion is all that matters right now. She even made them immediately put back the short, bright magenta dress that seemed like it would be perfect for showing off my curves at the next party I attended!

She ignores all signs of protests from me though and even thanks one of the staff when they take my empty cup and give me a new full one! Eventually mommy finally finishes going through all the dresses though and sets me down to try on a whitish gray sundress that seems to go down to my ankles and is decorated with soft pink flowers that run down the sides of it. It is kind of cute but I hate the approving gazes from all the staff when they see it and especially when I have it on. They are supposed to be on my side after all, not mommy's!! They could at least pretend to debate on her ability to pick out a dress for me!

It's only made worse when I step out onto the walkway and see both mommy and Naomi look at me with approving gazes. It makes me not even want to walk to the end and do my twirl but mommy makes me do it and helps me twirl around super fast, making me smile slightly.

"Definitely a yes. What do you think, Naomi?" Mommy asks as she stops spinning me but for some reason continues holding me as the room keeps spinning even though I know I'm standing still.

"It's definitely a very cute summer dress for her and I will say a definite keeper, if I've ever seen one!" Naomi proclaims, making me blush slightly and maybe be a little okay with the dress mommy picked out for me.

The next couple dresses are very uneventful after that. Most are just maybes at best but still make the buy pile because why not. Mommy has plenty of money, afterall. We eventually get to this pretty blue sundress though, that goes just past my knees and has these dark blue designs branching off of it that you can just barely see if you look really, really hard. This is the dress that mommy and Naomi actually react to but it's nothing compared to the next dress I found tucked away! It's almost like the dress was hidden, even though it's the prettiest dress ever and should be shown to the whole entire world!!
