It's that time of the year again, working. It's so boring, yet so important because it makes money. However during nighttime, he heard some kind of loud almost mechanical like sound, he looked out his window, and guess what happened? A escape pod of some sort landed near his house. At the sight of this, He was very VERY shocked and confused.

"the hell was that?" Rand told himself, before the discovery of the pod

Rand: "I never seen anything like this, sure we had some events of random spaceships and meteor crashes, but never a pod crash."

Despite a new thing falling from the sky, He was still eager to find out what it was. Before he could do anything however, He could hear gunshots outside, curious, he opened his front door to find all sorts of terrifying creatures of sort. He could see military soldiers getting stabbed by the chest, aliens creating wormholes, a hivemind of some sort and a lot more, he ran away as any human should, but he still heard the soldiers voices of pain, and this was when his whole life changed.

soldier 1: "SHIT RETREAT WE NEED REINFORCMENTS. HEAVY FIREPOW- A *static*"

soldier 2: "FALL BACK WE NEED MORE FIREPOWER. I REPEAT FALL BACK"

soldier 3: "*static*"

alien: "ccrtu? QEEE" (translation: What are these things? No matter, we will KILL THEM ALL)

While Rand was running, he tripped onto the glass of the pod he found, before finding a weird, furry like specimen.

Rand: "god . . . maybe I should take this specimen with me, the aliens still don't know about me, but is it worth the risk . . . yes."

Rand quickly opened the glass which came of surprisingly quick, before carrying the metal like creature with a combination of furry, human, and mechanical things. Even through it was heavy, he was still unnoticed by the aliens and made it safely to a forest, to a abandoned cabin, where he laid the furry like creature on a old bed.

Rand: "I never seen anything like this, well I have seen it before, not just this type" He thought to himself.

Before Rand knew it, he realized the creature was in fact, alive and not dead from the fall, assuming that it was a dangerous creature, like the furries which upon waking, tried to kill the whole team in his old days as a scientist.

-CYBER POV-

Cyber: "ughh . . . what happened . . ."

Cyber: "wait, where am I?"

Cyber scanned his location and was greeted with some things that humans called wood.

Rand was still hiding from Cyber (A furry like specimen to Rand) but was quickly discovered by Cyber

*Cyber spots Rand*

???: "SHIT"

Cyber: "huh?"

???: "Wait you can speak english?"

Cyber: "Um yeah?"

???: "I. . . I didn't expect furries to not be hostile for once, let alone, speak english. . ."

???: "Oh, sorry about my rudeness, I was so scared that you would claw me to death . . . allow me to introduce you, My name is Rand, a former scientist at . . . Somewhere, I can't remember the name of it. . ."

Cyber: "well my name is Cyber and I'm a Protogen. Wait I'm confused . . . Where am I? What happened to Jaylin? Actually, What even happened?"

Rand: "Who's Jaylin?"

Cyber: "My sibling of some sort,"

Rand: "well-"

Cyber: "no no need to say anything, its not your fault . . . At least I think."

I stare at well, Rand for a while, before standing up and looking around.

Rand: "uh . . . so what exactly is a Protogen?"

Cyber: "oh, silly me, always forgetting, Well a Protogen is like your typical furry, but combined with organs, and mechanical parts. Me myself, is a common type, thus meaning I am 40% mechanical and 60% organic, and was suppose to have some free will, mostly so I can make my own tactics against another alien force, that I never saw but that was suppose to be my job, Hating the thought of war, I escaped from my creators."

Rand: "wow, that's a lot of information, Although I wonder, what did you mean by "Some" free will?"

Cyber: "well, it's gonna be a long story"

-Timeskip-

Cyber: "and that's how Protogens were created."

Rand: "wow, my brain cannot process how dark that was."

*Boom*

Rand: "huh I wonder what that was?"

Rand: "stay here, I can't risk losing you, to the government."

Cyber: "alright"

I wait inside the weird structure that is apparently called a "cabin", Oh the worry of my younger sister, Jaylin, I can't be there to protect here from the dangers . . . Please stay safe . . .

-RAND POV-

After opening the door of the Cabin, I am greeted with lots of aliens and war going outside, far away.

Damn, is it really that bad? I could've sworn it was only a few aliens . . . I hear some kind of running sound? Wait what is that in the distance?

A alien like creature is seen running towards the cabin.

Rand: "SHIT SHIT SHIT"

Rand says as he barricades the door with other things.

Cyber: "what's going on?"

Rand: "I THINK A ALIEN IS TRYING TO BREAK I-"

The alien creature breaks the door effortlessly and tackles Cyber.

Cyber: "AGH" Cyber says as he tumbles to the floor

Cyber hits the creature with some sort of lightsaber like thing.

Rand: "what the hell, in the name of fucking god, was that thing?"

Cyber: "I. . . never seen something like that before either ..  ."

Rand: "it . . . how . . . what . . ."

Both of them are too shaken up to say anything.

Then, they hear a knock outside of the door.

"Hello? Is someone there?
