those were the words, before the world went to hell that day. Allow me to introduce myself, I am the scp guard, that you heard earlier, and I had saw it all. Survived it all. And now I have this weird dumb looking furry robot thing. I worked for Black mesa, after the resonance cascade, I left, and joined the scp. Ever since that event, I heard the echos of it, the screams, dying people, nightmares, and more. Even after the portal closed, the combines came, and as expected, humanity was mostly defenseless against it, however, this new race called: NEX, or xen but backwards, was a lot more . . . strange than the other encounters. Unlike XEN or the combines, these creatures appeared to be weak, but deadly. However, that was their police force, as their military force, came with what seemed like guns, armor, and heavy machinery. These new NEX race appears to be older than us, by at least a million years. However they also had tanks, or what seemed like tanks, and other aliens, like the pit drone, but combined with something else like antlions. Creating the beesx or something like that. These creatures, were very hostile and strong, the military, not the police force. They seemed to look like us, but stronger, and weaker at the same time? They were able to withstand multiple bullets, and even rockets, with no armor, and yet, here we are, I found out that the creature that I will now name the protogen's weapons are very effective, as only 3 bullets could kill those creatures. After containing a beesx by using some stun sticks, I captured it, and tested my new ALP gun on it, from which I stolen from the protogen, yes, I stole it. It's still alive through, The ALP seemed to lack accuracy, but had high firepower and infinite mags, as it seemed to rely on energy, With this technology, which the protogens had somehow achieved, I took this to a scientist, after the breach was contained, which was pretty quicky actually, they took a deep scan, analysis, and other scientist words I don't understand. But they couldn't seem to get the hang of how it worked. I heard some knocking from the protogens chamber, before it stopped.

Protogen: "W-where the hell am I? What the hell happened here!?"

Guard 1: "Ah, your finally awake. Hey, uh Barney, tell it what happened or something, I don't know, something?"

Barney: "alright, look, while you blacked out, I took your weapons and guns. So don't even try to escape, if you do, the foundation of SCP will gun you down. Or attempt to get you back to your test chamber, or something. Good luck trying to get out."

Protogen: "wh-what? I'm locked up here? What did I do!?! a-and what does SCP m-mean?!"

Barney, or scp guard I will refer to, realizes this is one of the more smarter aliens that they found, that it was very curious, yet nervous at the same time. As most creatures attempt to just attack, this one seemed to try and negotiate, due to this, it was taken to a special chamber, named: "ANOMALOUS MATERIALS" this was security guards old team, before the resonance cascade hit and destroyed the Black Mesa Research Facility. As it saw the protogen, not attempting to resist, and just let itself be dragged by the arms, The SCP guard, was interested with how it would react when in danger, as it seemed to not mind being dragged by other creatures, that the protogen deemed aliens. Working with the scientist, rand, he knew it was a combination of a furry and mechanical things, but SCP guard still had a long way to find out what it truly was.

Barney: "heya, I'm going to come here once a week, to check on you, got that? And don't even try to escape, the SCP will just hunt you down until you die." (casual tone)

Protogen: "why am I held captive here? Do you check on the others a week as well? What did I do to be here?" (fearful tone)

Barney: "look, this facility holds anything that isn't normal for humans, got that? Blame the foundation, ask the admin, Don't ask me, he created this. I am simply a elite guard of this facility, ok? we're gonna run some test, some dangerous, others not so much, got that? Behave, and we'll let you out soon." (casual tone)

Protogen: "o-ok. . ." (nervous tone)

The protogen, seemed to be a neutral species, or this one was, as it seemed to avoid fighting creatures, and even kept a bunny as a pet in one of the tests, however, when facing a dangerous entity, such as a headcrab, when the crab leap at the protogen, it used it's sharp claws, killing the crab, but when faced with creatures it has never seen before, such as SCP 999, it tried to scan, but it never worked with SCPS, as they were designed like that, but it always lets the enemy make the first move, before deeming it friendly or hostile, and scp 999, to it was deemed friendly, but when it were to face scp 096, scp shy guy, It looked by the eyes, somehow, before finding out it was likely a hostile creature, It began running, jump over objects, unaware of it's deadly tracking, it found the protogen, however before the scp 096 could kill the protogen, it used some sort of flash, grenade, making a hole in the wall, and breaching the facility, once again. Alarms flashed, and the test had gone wrong, I swear, I told them to make blast proof walls!!! WHY DOES NOBODY EVER LISTEN!!!!!! I don't blame it for blowing a wall and running away, because scp 096 will scare the living out of anyone.

Barney: "great, they escaped, security breach." (annoyed tone)

Not long after, Barney climbed down the ladder into the large test chamber, before going to the wall, to get a glimsp of a the protogen, only to find out that there was 2 protogen, a green one and a blue one, the one he had was blue, confused, he walked over but the green one seemed to rip some sort of time and space, and the two protogens, jumped in, and they were gone.

Barney: "oh crap. How am I gonna explain this to the admin? And how will the Admin explain to the owner?"
