LAB - 13. (last chapter)

---Xero pov---

As I headed to where the explosion came from, I found out that Cyber somehow beat me to it, how'd this happen? I'm not sure, but I took this advantage and slowly crept towards him, ready to slash him and kill him, to get Rale back, but each step I took, I felt more and more wrong. It's almost like I shouldn't be doing this, each step seemed to take a minute or even hour to process what is happening. When I was only a few inches from him, I hesitated to whether make another step towards him, Eventually I reached, stared at his visor, before raising my arm. I was still hesitating, what if... What if he really was just trying to survive? if I ended it here, what would I tell his best friend, Jaylin? Would she try to escape? These thoughts kept popping to my head. As my arm was raised, I gave it one final thought... is it really worth it?

"I'm sorry... Goodbye.".

Before I could make my move, I heard some Electricity and some kind of latex screeches, which was gone in a few seconds. What could have happened?

---Xale pov---

As I got out of the water from, well, hitting the Shark Latex, I was so tired that I didn't notice that the lights were off. It was so dark that I couldn't see anything, and I didn't even have a flashlight. However, due to Kyle being a newer version, he came with night vision which the only reason I even knew is because he told me before we went in, coincidence.

Kyle: "So... you want me to try and find something that would turn on or get a light source?"

"um yeah? What do you think?"

Kyle: "I'll take that as "Get me a light source, because I am blind in the dark." answer."

"yes, PLEASE find a light so I am not blind for the rest of the time in this shark infested waters!"

Kyle: "Not sure how this place runs, but- Wait, what does that note say?"

"What note?"

Kyle: "This one?"

Kyle points towards the wall with a paper with metal grating on it, with very clearly, rusted, but still readable words or text, informing them with this information.

if the facility were to randomly run out of power, we had set up a system so if the power were to go out, it would automatically turn on, however if that fails, you have to manually pull a lever in room: B-6, or B-3, as they are the main generators and upon pulling the lever, it will activate backup power that will run for who knows how long, as it has never been tested before. Despite simple, it doesn't mean that it's safe to do so, as if touched with water, the generators will shock you with over 120 volts, which are fatal. "So, generators huh?"

Kyle: "yep, the room you were in was titled B-6, I can go into water, but your waterproof so I think you should do it-"

"Seriously? At least help or show me where the lever is, I know I should be used to dark waters, but that doesn't mean I can see very well in the dark! Let alone, find anything..."

Kyle: "alright, I'll guide you, you be in that room, and I'll guide you by saying something... Like Right, left, Forward!"

"Fine... Wish you could just go."

As Kyle led Xale to the generator lever, once he reached it and pulled the lever, the lights burst into life, at least the room I was in. Hit with a sudden shock, I think I whimper in pain? Not sure, but my eyes are hit with bright lights so quickly that it hurt it. It didn't help he also got shocked and paralyzed his hand.

Kyle: "You ok there?"

"yeah... Light just hurt my eyes."

Kyle: "well no use in waiting, I found out that the door to room B-5 opens when the energy or electricity is on for Room B-6!"

"just wait up... I'm adjusting my... hand..."

---Xero pov---

I... Can't kill Cyber, not like a dirty cheater. And after thinking about it, Rale didn't actually die, he lived from the blast, but... It's like that part of my memory was erased until now, I stumble back lost in thought. What was I thinking? Why can't I remember that specific part? Is something using me and I'm unaware of it? What is... This feeling? Could somebody be using me the whole time? I think to myself before finding out that cyber woke up.

Cyber: "Oh... So you're here, I swear you were somewhere else a few minutes ago."

"No... no... What is this feeling? Why can't I remember anything? Am I going insane?"

Cyber: "what do you mean?"

Cyber slowly crept closer to me, while my hand was on my head, my heart pounded with stress. I was overwhelmed by all of the possible things that can happen. I attempted to calm myself down, so did cybers. For some reason, I told him to get away, and after that, I... Couldn't think of anything, I began taking a lying position, likely going insane. I couldn't take it, there was too many questions left unanswered. And then, I couldn't take it and just... Ran somewhere, before slamming through a door and throwing myself into... something. I was too overwhelmed that I forgot all of my knowledge. I had only one goal, and only one. Find out what is the truth.
