He slept till noon the next day, you suspect that the only reason he woke up was because his body needed food and water. He woke up looking even worse than when he went to bed. You opted to stay at the mansion because you still needed to talk.

Walking out of his room with bedhead and a face that would be at home in a zombie movie, Tony was lured to the table by the smell of food. You looked up from your laptop to see him almost walk into the table with how out of it he was. You looked on as he unceremoniously dumped himself into the space next to you with a groan.

"You look like you're about to get started on a brain only diet. Like someone dumped you into a lake and only fished you out after a week."

"I feel even worse, like I got run over by a truck....
God...
You were right, shit, how come I feel even worse now?" He groaned, rubbing his face.

"Happens. When you are under stress for a long time, you crash hard. Your body is finally in a safe place to start destressing and healing. It's going to get worse before it gets better. But anyway, go freshen up, I have lunch going. I'll make you some coffee in the meantime."

"Food and coffee sound like heaven."

Lunch was a quiet affair with him complimenting you being the only interruption. There was a noticeable shift in the air when you two were done. It was time. Time for a heavy conversation.

The two of you went to your lab for it, where you ran a battery of tests as he told you everything that happened and just how it was that he escaped. You took note that he seemed to gloss over some of the conversations he had with Yinsin, the fight within himself very apparent when he was trying to decide if he wanted to tell you or not. Even if he opted not to in the end, you weren't too worried, since they were more emotional conversations and nothing technical was missing from his explanation. Your main focus was the suit and the arc reactor technology.

"The results should be ready in a minute."

You inform Tony as he sits up from the examination table. Not bothering to get off of it, he just sits there as you drag a chair to sit in front of him. He looks relieved to be done with the tests and the story. It was quite a heavy experience to recall, much less narrate.

The drugs you gave him shouldn't mess with the results, since they were only supposed to last for 5 hours and should have cleared his system by now.

"What are you planning? For Stark International, for the arc reactor, for the suit, just what exactly are you going to do now?" The question seems to add weight to his already tired shoulders. The crinkle in this brow tells you that it's a difficult question, but he also seems to recognize it's necessity.

"I don't know. I don't have a plan of action. But what I do know is that I don't want to be the reason people die, I don't want to be the name on the weapons that kill millions. I don't want my legacy to be written in blood.

This technology, the arc reactor, I don't think the world is ready for it, yet. But I know that I want to help, I want to make this world better, just a little more peaceful."

"Okay, I can work with that.
I agree, the arc reactor tech and the suit should remain a secret for now. The Board of Directors is going to riot, no doubt. Before that though, you need to make a new reactor, this one is a prototype, it's not made for long term wear. Just focus on yourself for a while, I'll try to help with the rest"

Tony nods in agreement, he looks contemplative before he opens his mouth to say something only to be interrupted by PAM.

"The results are ready."
