Later in the night, everyone is behind the restaurant and there are rustling sounds.
"Yo, it's gotten real quiet, huh?" Floyd asks.
"Sure has. All the guests have gone home," Jack says.
"Guess that's it for Port Fest this year," Ruggie says.
"It was loads of fun, I'll tell ya that," Grim says.
"Ah, the post-event blues. A comedown, but still a lovely feeling to experience nonetheless," Rook says.
"It sure was a great day," Briar says."
"And it was fun," Sereia says.
Ruggie nods and says, "The neon lights on the Golden Straw sure are pretty."
"Oui, more dazzling than even the stars twinkling in the night sky. I believe they only turn them on for Port Fest," Rook says.
'Hmm," Grim replies.
"So today's the last day they'll be on, then," Floyd says.
'Yeah. This'll be our last chance to check them out until next year's festival," Jack says and continues doing something making the rustling sound.
Everyone remains silent.
Suddenly, Grim cries out, "MRAH! Why in the world are we just sittin' here peelin' these stupid little potatoes?!"
And it's revealed that all the guys are peeling potatoes and the girls, Briar and Sereia, clean up the peels.
"We have to!" Jack says, "We broke all the cookware and stuff that we borrowed from the manager! I asked if there was anything we could help with to make up for it, and he said peeling potatoes!"
"I mean, we also made Port Fest a huge success, can't we just say we already made up for it?" Floyd says.
"No way, man. I wanna do the right thing," Jack says.
And Floyd says, "Okay, great, knock yourself out. I'm way over this."
"You and me both, dude!" Grim says.
"Now, now, we have but a few potatoes remaining," Rook says.
"Rook is right. We still have some potatoes to peel," Tanzanite says.
"Obviously, we peeled a billion of 'em already," Floyd says, annoyed, "What's he even gonna do with this many stinkin' spuds?
"His restaurant's famous for cooking with potatoes. They use 'em in a bunch of dishes," Jack says.
"I can imagine. There's enough potatoes to make hundreds of recipes," Briar says.
"Dealing with these potatoes is making me want french fries," Tanzanite says.
"That reminds me, actually," Ruggie says, turning to Jack, "Was the special you wanted me to try a potato thing, too?"
"Yup. Sorry I couldn't treat you to it when we first came here," Jack answers, "But now that Port Fest's wrapped up, the manager ought to be able to reopen his restaurant. Which means I'll finally be able to buy you lunch! We could even go this weekend!"
Soon, the manager walks inside, "Well, look at what we have here! You've got a real potato mountain goin' on, boys. That's plenty, thanks a lot for the help!"
Floyd groans, "Ughhh, finally done! That sucked big time!"
"Whew, I'm exhausted," Ruggie says.
"I cooked up something for you all with some of those taters, actually. Just my way of thankin' you for making Port Fest so successful. Eat up!" The manager says, and presents food to them.
"You don't have to tell me twice!" Grim happily says.
"This here's our special dish," The manager says.
Ruggie & Jack are surprised, "The special?!"
'Last time you boys came around, I thought I heard Jack say he wanted to treat you to it, Ruggie. Went ahead and made some for you," The manager says.
"I wasn't expecting him to be able to try it so soon! Thanks so much, boss!" Jack says.
"Lemme see what it is!" Ruggie says.
He takes the food and is surprised to see what it is.
He is shocked and amazed, "DONUTS! DONUTS ARE MY FAVORITE!" He then asks, "But wait, you said they make them with potatoes, didn't you?"
"That's right! These donuts use potato in place of flour!" Jack answers, "It's their signature dish. Young or old, everyone loves 'em. I knew you loved donuts, so I wanted you to try them."
"Ohhh, so that's why you were so insistent about it," Ruggie says.
"Yup! And now you've got 'em, so dig in!" Jack says.
"Don't mind if I do!" Ruggie says and begins eating.
Grim gets excited, "Potato donuts? Gimme gimme gimme!"
"I'm pretty starved, myself," Floyd says.
"Likewise. Let us all partake!" Rook says,
Everyone cheers, "Donut time!" and begins eating the potato made donuts.
"...Oh yeah, those are great. A-plus-plus donuts right there," Ruggie says.
"You really like them?!" Jack asks.
"Def. Simple, with a little hit of sweetness that builds up as you go—just how I like it," Ruggie says, "They are much chewier than traditional donuts, too."
Grim eats the donuts, "I could eat a million of 'em!"
"They taste even better when I remember that all the others are still cleanin' up, too," Floyd says.
"These donuts are amazing," Briar says.
"Yeah. They're great," Jasper says.
"You didn't get to have any when we first came here either, guys. Let's make sure we make up for that now!" Ruggie says.
"Still, you all did great at the festival today," Tanzanite says.
"You guys worked hard recording everything, too. Nice work all around!" Jack says, 'I'm real happy you guys like them so much. I feel like a weight's been lifted."
Rook chuckles, "Heh heh. It looks like the meal the six of us were deprived of a few weeks ago has happened at last."
"I thought it'd never happen, for real. Sheesh," Ruggie says.
"Marvelous, simply marvelous! I am overcome with emotion!" Rook says.
Floyd says, "Eh, I wasn't too worried about whether or not I got to eat with you guys."
Ruggie sighs, "I can't believe how much work I had to put in to get these donuts. Like... They're good. Definitely top tier. But not worth THAT MUCH effort!"
"...Yeah, not even close," Jack says.
And everyone starts laughing, "Ahahaha!"
"There's plenty more where that came from. And I brought you some drinks, too," The manager says.
"Merci, Monsieur Manager. Perhaps we should take advantage of the opportunity and make a toast?" Rook says.
"Good thinkin'! Myahaha!" Grim says.
Ruggie turns to Jack, "Our leader oughta say a few words then."
"Huh? Me?" Jack says, confused.
"But of course!" Rook says.
"Yeah, so get crackin'!" Floyd says.
"Oh, uh, right!" Jack says, nervously.
He then says, "Well then... To a successful Port Fest!"
Everyone raises their glasses and shouts, "Cheers!"
