Chapter Twenty-Seven.

Alina Changing {Bad or Good, who knows}.

After the girls gave Alina a chance, she tried to get them to like her but Red didn't bulge because she knew how much Aliya was hurt for what her sister did.

"Asalam Aleikum, is it okay if we could watch a movie together?" Alina asked.

"Waleikum Salaam. I am sorry but we..."

"Yeah we can watch a movie together," Alina interrupted her best friend, who glared at her.

"Okay thank you for doing this, Aliya. And I want to say that I am sorry for whatever my mother made me do to you. I know that it might be too late to apologize but i would love to have a relationship with you as my sister. But if you don't want that, then I will accept even if its just your friendship," Alina said.

Aliya looked at Muskaan who nodded.

"We could start by being friends first and then we will see later on," Aliya suggested.

"Sure, I would like that," Alina agrees, smiling at Aliya.

As the days go by, Alina, Aliya and even Muskaan have started to become friends. Hamza has been trying to talk to Aliya but that seems impossible as she is always surrounded by Red and Matthew.

One day Hamza saw Aliya walking toward him and stopped in front of her.

"Aliya could I talk to you?" Hamza asked.

"What do you want to talk about? I have five minutes before I get to my next class," Aliya said taking a seat next to him.

"I wanted to say that I am sorry about the way I treated you in high school..."

"Hamza, that was in the past. Let's just move on. Besides, I dont think Alina would appreciate me talking to you. I forgive you and goodbye," Aliya said, getting up from her seat and walking toward where her friends were.

"What did he want?" Her cousin Zayn asked.

"To appologize for how he treated me in high school," Aliya explained. "Before you say anything, I forgave him because I want a clean start for myself and I dont want any problems between me and Alina especially when we are going to be roommates for three years," she added.

"Aliya is right, Zayn. Anyways, ready to get to class," Red asked.

"Yeah, let's go."

Hamza watched as Aliya walked out of the cafeteria with her friends.

At least she forgave me. That's a start.

A few days passed and Alina started hanging out more with Alina and her group. She even drags Hamza to one of their gatherings.

At first, it was awkward for him but he started to notice how Aliya didn't care if he was there or not.

Regret comes when you least expect it to.

That quote has always been in Hamza's mind from the time he believed Alina's lies over his long friendship with Aliya.

Months go by and the two sisters start hanging out more and more but Red and Zayn are still cautious about Alina especially when her mother is someone who would harm Aliya without a single thought.

One year passed Alina had been acting strange and would usually come to the dorm in the middle of the night. Even if she didnt have any classes that day.

This was noticed by Red but she couldn't say anything except give Alina advice about what she might be doing is wrong.

"Alina, I know that you and I have different views on the relationship between you and Alina but are you alright?"

"Thank you for your concern, Muskaan but yes I am fine alhamdulilah. I just need to get to class and I hope and pray that when I finish this course I will do what I intended to do. Don't worry, this isn't about Aliya. As I would never hurt her. She is and will always be my sister," Alina explained. "Thank you again for worrying about me," she added, leaving the dorm to get to her classes.

This is the plan to get my life back from mum. And I will get the person that loves me back into my life. He is and will always be my anchor. Alhamdulillah, he has agreed to be with me even if I told him it would be a secret for now.

Alina looked at the closed door of her dorm and smiled knowing that Muskaan and her sister won't let anything happen to her.

Meanwhile, Matthew is nervous because Alina had called him saying they needed to talk.

"Matt, come on. Talk to her..."

"But Zayn, she is in a relationship with Hamza. Why is she contacting me? She made it clear that she wants nothing to do with me because of my social status. Alina said that ours status don't much and she needs someone like Hamza," Matthew explained. "I know you and Aliya want the best for me but sometimes it is better to just let fate takeover," he added.

"Okay but if you need anything I am here for you."

Matthew thanked him and walked out of the dorm to clear his head.

Sometimes I wish that my situation was different. But I am thankful to Uncle Aryan for the opportunity, he has given me and my family. Now my mother doesn't have to worry about my future as I have a job secured when I graduate in the next two years..
