As Tyler pulled down their long dirt driveway leading to their home, Hannah couldn't help but smile. The large oak trees that lined up and down the driveway swayed in the wind, as the truck emerged from the trees there the house sat.

A large white farmhouse stood in the middle of the clearing, surrounded by rolling hills and scattered trees. The wrap around front porch with the porch swing was one of Hannah's favorite places to sit wrapped in a blanket listening to thunderstorms as they rolled through.

A barn sat to the right of the house and to the left of the house was their storm shelter that went down about 20 feet into the ground.

Boone's family house was about a mile down the road, where he would crash from time to time when they weren't chasing, but most of the time he would stay with the Owens' since their house was basically empty.

When Hannah was 10 there was a large storm that hit their home, Tyler was away at school at the time leaving her with just their parents. It had been an EF4 that swept through their farm, taking their parents away with the wind.

Somehow, Hannah miraculously survived. No one knew how, but they found the 10 year old hunkered down underneath the stairs. The rubble of their house surrounding her and she clutched onto her teddy bear wrapped in a blanket.

The storm hit at night, out of no where. The sirens didn't even go off before the long black train hit, Hannah and her parents barely made it downstairs.

It's been Hannah and Tyler against the world since that night. Luckily their parents had an account for both of them at the bank along with their insurance money and a will, living in a state where tornados were common it seemed they thought that was best to be prepared.

Tyler had become her legal guardian when he was only 20, until Hannah turned 18. It was a lot for him to handle, taking on a 10 year old who woke up every night from night terrors was difficult. But she was all he had left and he wouldn't lose her too.

Their parents made sure to leave them enough money behind so they would be taken care of, so that made things easy for Tyler. Not having to worry about dropping out of school so he could support the both of them.

He would forever be thankful that their parents had been so prepared, because he got to continue working towards his goals and take care of Hannah without worries about money.

While Tyler finished his degree at the University of Arkansas, he and Hannah got an apartment off campus where they lived while the farm got rebuilt.
