"GET CRUSHED!" Y/N practically screamed at his foe, his voice shaking with a clear unfiltered rage. Sukuna was forced through several floors of the building they found themselves on top of while Y/N tried desperately not to cough up too much blood. Reverse cursed technique helped but Y/N wouldn't focus too much on healing himself, his main focus was on damaging Sukuna beyond his healing capabilities. Following the use of cursed speech to send Sukuna through a building, Y/N clapped his hands. Immediately, his position was switched with Sukuna's, with the King of Curses keeping his momentum thanks to Y/N's use of cursed speech. Y/N took a step out of the way as Sukuna came crashing down past him into the floor once more, though not before landing several Cleaves on Y/N. It was enough to momentarily distract the young sorcerer and Sukuna was able to get back up and continue the fight by immediately launching himself at Y/N and grabbing his wrist. Once that was done, a searing pain shot through Y/N's nerves as his hand was sliced straight off.

"Slice." Since Sukuna still held on to the remaining part of Y/N's wrist, it gave the boy a split second to get payback and Sukuna was hit by a slash with such force that it sends him back at least ten feet. Y/N picked up his hand from the floor before it reattached itself as Y/N held it in place. Y/N had gotten over the blind rage he felt mere seconds ago, though that didn't mean his rage had dissipated, instead it had become something more calculated. Y/N's brain was working at five times faster than usual, cycling through all the different ways he could possibly demolish the King of Curses without killing the vessel.

"Well then Y/N Shimura, you are a truly fascinating being. Able to copy the cursed techniques of others, I wonder how you'll copy mine." Sukuna was clearly more curious about what Y/N could do, his thirst for battle urging him to find out more.

"I don't have to use your technique to kill you Mutt." Though he wasn't using cursed speech, it seemed as though Y/N's words held major conviction within them. It almost felt as if Y/N's words were only the truth or perhaps even a prediction into the near future. Of course, neither of those were true, the real force behind Y/N's words having come from his intense emotion. Sukuna though, would not understand that.

"You're getting cocky, Brat." Sukuna growled through now gritted teeth, charging at the boy in front of him. Though before Sukuna  could reach him Y/N clapped again, confusing his opponent before he took advantage of said confusion. As their positions switched, Y/N prepared a devastating kick that connected against Sukuna's ribs. The force behind said kick was made worse by the pulse of cursed energy released from Y/N's foot right after making contact. With that kick, Sukuna confirmed that Y/N wasn't someone to be taken lightly. Even after Y/N killed Jogo, an incredibly powerful curse who could've matched Sukuna at roughly nine fingers, the King of Curses didn't really believe Y/N would be much of a threat. That was different now, Y/N was a large threat at the current moment. His eyes burned with a now calm and calculated rage, one that would not subside until Sukuna had been put in his place below the young Shimura.

"You know, Sukuna all those months ago when you knocked me out and tore out Yuji's heart, I had feared you. I was foolish back then to fear something so weak is humiliating. And to think, you've gotten stronger since then." Y/N's words were laced with venom, provoking the King of Curses to send countless slashes at Y/N with all of them landing. Y/N still stood, unmoving and unbothered. All of this was in an attempt to send Sukuna into a blind rage similar to the one Y/N himself had just experienced. That way Sukuna would be thinking less about what he was doing and Y/N could exploit that easily. All this to say that Y/N's words were lies, he was still terrified of Sukuna and that would probably always be the case no matter how much stronger he grew. Right now though, Y/N had to convince himself and Sukuna that he was no longer afraid and viewed himself as superior.
