"𝗛𝗺𝗺.. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲?" I ask with a smile, and the golden boy across from me hummed. "Maybe we go there at 4?" He asks with a shrug, showing his genuine confusion and not unsure response. "Sure thing. But I can't be completely sure till I see what my parents are planning, yk?" My smile was clearly shown on my face as my feet swayed under the table in a gentle pattern as meteor shower by Cavetown. I started playing through my headphones, giving me more warmth than before.
"That's nice to know." Walker said with slight sarcasm in his voice, which made us laugh softly. The time felt as if it was a mush as everything combined together as we talked. It was a wave of comfort and a scene of familiarity that washed over me. I'm not too sure what made it so farmilier to me, but the thought was pushed onto the back burner as I continued my drawing littsining to both my music and Walker. This was nice, so I was something that made it so much more comfortable to me.
Once the grandfather clock in the lobby struck 12, I arose from my seat, gathering my things. "Sorry, I'm just going to head back to my family and see if their back yet and see what's happening, okay? Again. I'll messege you so don't worry kay?" I ask him in a rushed voice as I skip back to the elevator, and as it opens, happiness hits my face as it's empty. Once i enter, I click 7 on the buttons and head up to my floor. Once I was there, the short walk to the room was even amazing. To be honest, it was strange. 'Why am I so happy?' Was all that was flashing through my mind.
When I reached the door to the resort room, I entered and closed the door behind me as I saw my family all in towels. My analogy of them being at the pool proven to be correct. "Heeellloooooo~" I hum, sliding inside with my socks, and they all nod and wave as they great me. "Doooo, we have any plans today?" I ask with a smile as my parents look at each other. "Nothing other than heading to the board walk," my mother said at the make shift kitchen, pouring herself some hot tea and taking a sip soon later.
"And how long will that be?" They look at me, weried as I shrug, and my mother takes a hum. "Most likely around 2-3 hours. Why?" She asks, and i nod in response. "Can I go to the fair?" I ask, and my parents look back and forth between each other. ".. I'm scared to ask.. why?" Marielis scares me as she says that leaning on the wall behind me. "Oh- well- Walker asked if we could go -" I pause as I wait to see what they respond with as I catch my breath. "And if you alow it.. possibly by myself?" My father came out of the restroom and decided to ask what was going on.
"Your daughter wants to go on a date." My mother says with a soft laugh as she pats my shoulder. "Who? And how? We are on vacation. How did you already get to know someone to be asked out on a date?" He starts the series of questions. The questions that I didn't want to answer. Luckily for me, after a long amount of convincing, they agreed. Once, I was done getting my bag ready, which held a sketchbook, my phone, hand sanitizer, and the normal things.
T
he moment I got the okay and gathered my things, I headed out and messeged Walker as In to tell him that I was ready. Yes, the whole time marielis and I were convincing my parents it took hours. Yes, marielis helped surprisingly... that kinda could've been seen as rude- Sorry!
