𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 through the window as we drove down the highway towards the fair. It would be long hours, but it would feel as if it would pass by in moments. When we pulled into the fair, the parking was small, but across the street was public parking, $10 the closer towards the fair.

Once the car came to a stop, I opened the door and stepped outside. Stretching my muscles in a way to refresh them and prep them for what's to come. The door behind me slammed shut as I saw marielis waving bye to me. My mother and father handed me a wallet with some money. "I know it's a lot of money, but for a fair, it's a little. So spend it wisely, okay? And we're picking you up at 830. If there's no traffic, that is."

My father looked at me through the window as it rolled back up from my mother in a joking way. Once they closed the window and waved bye, I made sure I had what I needed. Money, check. Phone, check. Bag with my things, check. Honestly, I'm not too sure if they would allow a bag that isn't seen through, but i can try.

After checking my bag, my steps were heavy, yet light at the same time. I matched towards the front gates to where I were to get a wristband, my entry ticket, and when they searched my bag to make sure I'm not sneaking any weapons inside. "Clear, now little Missy, head down to that table, and they can show you where to get your tickets for rides and everything. Got it?" The security guard asked, and I nodded as a response to his directions.

"Thank you, sir." He tipped his hat to me as I began my short walk towards the tickets. So far, no walker. Not a glimpse or messege has yet to be seen by my eyes. That was okay, saying if I saw him right away, I wouldn't have a chance to do some quick sketching. So when I saw the ticket booth, I stood in line. A paint pen that was a fine tip was soon placed into my hands as I began drawing. I'm not on paper but on myself. The pen glided across my arm as I drew little doodles. Not knowing how many tickets I should get for the two of us, I settled for around 30 tickets, which was around $25 total.

Yes, it may not be enough for us now, but it's a good start for me. When I reached the person at the booth, it looked like a junior in high school. She had blond hair with brown tipped bangs. Her skin is pale and shinny as she sweats under the awning of the ticket booth. "How many tickets?" Her words were tired as she spoke, and I smiled softly towards her. "Oh-30 tickets, please." She rolled her eyes as she handed me the tickets and then checked her phone as if a way to ignore my presence. After a while of waiting for her, I placed the money on a tray and walked away with a sigh that escaped my mouth.
