The Legend of the Mortal Siren

A mortal Siren will be born with powers
that even the gods cannot fathom.
Her tears stain the sea black, shadows dance at her feet,
Her storms plunder the shores,
The earth trembles at her bewildered anger.
The elements love her, beguiled,
as though she belongs to them.
But with these powers come tragedy,
For they tether her to a god.
She holds the power to strengthen him
—or to undo him.
With such power will come the
destruction of kingdoms and the fall of credence.
Betrayal lies waiting, hidden in the depths of the sea
to be unleashed upon the ignorant.
Though some may try to rid of the mortal,
Fate will conquer all
Even in death, should she be merciless;
her soul shall linger on.
