The intensity of the moment enveloped the forest, casting a chilling spell over Sana and the magnificent wolf that stalked toward her with predatory grace. The primal howl reverberated through the trees, sending shivers down Sana's spine, her very soul quivering in fear. Frozen in place, her breath caught in her throat, Sana was a statue amidst the wilderness, her essence intermingling with the ancient stillness of the woods.
As the fearsome creature drew closer, each heavy footstep pounding like thunder in Sana's ears, her heart raced faster, a drumbeat of dread echoing in her chest. Every fiber of her being screamed to flee, to escape the looming danger, yet a sliver of logic stayed her, reminding her that flight would only provoke the majestic beast further.
A sense of impending doom hung heavy in the air as the wolf's presence loomed large, a primal force of nature drawing impossibly near. Sana clenched her eyes shut, her breath coming in ragged gasps, bracing herself for the inevitable confrontation that lay ahead."Never run or close your eyes when met with a wolf. Look it in the eyes and do not break the eye contact. Look it into eyes like it is nothing more than a wild animal which could be tamed with a whip of a hunter, with a confidence that none can shake" Her father's advice echoed in her mind, urging her to stay calm and focused, to trust her instincts and never back down in the face of danger. With a deep breath, she steadied her nerves and met the piercing gaze of the menacing creature before her. Its black fur bristled, its amber eyes locked onto hers, and its sharp, red canines gleamed in the dim light. Despite her trembling hands, she straightened her stance, determination shining in her eyes like a beacon in the darkness. The challenge was set, and she was ready to prove her mettle in this thrilling and perilous encounter.
Alarick, the wolf of Siddhant, a fierce and mighty creature, fixated his gaze on the unknown creature before him with a deep craving for blood, his instincts urging him to attack and consume her as he had done with countless wolves in his wild and unforgiving jungle domain. Her closed eyes and the rapid rhythm of her heartbeat triggered an unstoppable urge within Alarick to rip her apart mercilessly, along with anyone who dared to cross his path. However, a moment of hesitation crept over him when the creature dared to meet his intense stare with unwavering courage. In that fleeting instant, her fearless gaze pierced through Alarick's predatory intentions, causing a shift in his ferocious demeanor. Despite this, he continued to advance towards her, his movements gradually slowing as he neared her, until he was just inches away, close enough to sense her every breath and feel the cadence of her heartbeat.
"H..he..hello", she stuttered greeting the wolf not knowing if it was a wise decision or would make her end in limbs and flesh apart from her body. The reaction was a growl, that reverberated through her soul. She moved her feet to create some distance between them but stilled instantly when she felt the canines on the skin between her jaw and shoulder.
"Okay, Okay, I am still. Don't kill me yet", she whispered, hoping he was able to understand her words and probably he did as the canines were retreated and replaced by the tongue. She was scared, very much scared.
"Are you a werewolf, or just a wolf?" she asked. No answer was possible to her question at this moment. Daringly she raised her hand and with a very hesitant shake, she touched it only to instantly retreat her fingers back as he growled and canines again grazed her skin, scratching her skin.
"I am so..sorry." and there was a silence that wrapped them. She saw him move from her neck and sniff her and then circle her and all she could do was stand like a statue and wait for it to be over.
"Are you a we...werewolf or just a wolf?", she asked again and the answer remained the same, the piercing eyes and slow growls.
"You do not want to answer, that is okay"
